Baby Due-- in less than 2 weeks!

Hey!
As most of you know, I fell in love with [name]Maxwell[/name] [name]Dean[/name] [name]Harvey[/name], which honors my father and my bf’s father, thanks to an amazing person who came up with this for me! I don’t know your username, but THANK YOU!!!. The only sad thing is, my friend told me today her dog is [name]Max[/name], which is what I would have called [name]Maxwell[/name] if I named him [name]Maxwell[/name]. Sad Stuff! Now, for boys it is down to: [name]Jesse[/name] [name]Philip[/name] [name]Hale[/name], [name]Landon[/name] [name]Beckett[/name], and [name]Kyle[/name] [name]Landon[/name] [name]Hale[/name] if it’s a boy, [name]Tessa[/name] [name]Virginia[/name] [name]Anabel[/name], [name]Selena[/name] [name]Toba[/name] or [name]Ciara[/name] Geniveive [name]Tess[/name] if it’s a girl! What should I go with? Which do you berries like best?! Thank-you!

As for myself right now, it’s [name]Katrina[/name] or [name]Colette[/name]. [name]Katrina[/name] comes with the nicknames [name]Kat[/name], [name]Katie[/name], & [name]Trina[/name], [name]Kat[/name] which I love, and [name]Colette[/name] has [name]Edie[/name], & [name]Etta[/name] which I love! I need some help here too, and maybe I should keep my middle name as [name]Elizabeth[/name]?

[name]Stephanie[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]

Wait, wait. You found a name you absolutely love, and it honors important people in your life, and you’re throwing it out because your friend used the same nickname on their dog?

Sorry to be blunt, but that’s the dumbest reasoning I’ve heard in a long time. It’s a DOG. Your child will outlive that dog by 10x its age. Chances are, the dog will be gone before your kid is old enough to know what “woof” even means. And if little doggie [name]Max[/name] is still around, so what? [name]How[/name] often will doggie [name]Max[/name] and baby [name]Max[/name] be in the same room together? Not often, I’ll bet. You’re seriously over-reacting. If it was your own dog named [name]Max[/name], then the situation might be different. As it stands, there’s no reason why you can’t use the name you truly love.

I’m pretty sure any little boy I know would be THRILLED to have the same nickname as a dog. [name]Maxwell[/name] (nn [name]Max[/name]) is a fabulous name, and I agree with lucystone, it seems fairly insane to let such a fabulous, meaningful name slip away just because you know a dog named [name]Max[/name]!!

Thanks, lucystone & claireelise, maybe you guys are right! But what about a girls name just in case baby is a girl? Thankyou!
