We have the name [name]Callum[/name] picked out but I’m really starting to rethink the name. We never get good reactions, people find it hard to pronounce and we hear it come up a lot on newborns. We like the name [name]Declan[/name], [name]Theodore[/name], [name]Finn[/name]([name]Finley[/name], or finnigan for the full name). But we just aren’t sure. What names would you suggest? We don’t want anything that is too popular. Thanks guys! [name]Baby[/name] boy is due in [name]October[/name]!
I love the name [name]Callum[/name], but here are some other ideas:
[name]Eamon[/name]
[name]Cormac[/name] ([name]Mack[/name])
[name]Brennan[/name]
[name]Asher[/name]
[name]Ronan[/name]
[name]Stellan[/name]
[name]Holden[/name]
[name]Grayson[/name]
[name]Ewan[/name]
[name]Griffin[/name]
[name]Graham[/name]
[name]Teague[/name]
[name]Sullivan[/name]
[name]Ian[/name]
[name]Ramsey[/name]
[name]Gavin[/name]
[name]Gareth[/name]
[name]Jasper[/name]
[name]Emmett[/name]
[name]Ashton[/name]
[name]Callum[/name] is very close to our #2 pick of [name]Colm[/name]; so, obviously, I [name]LOVE[/name] it! [name]Declan[/name] and [name]Finn[/name] are choices of ours also…[name]Finn[/name] is the name of one of my book’s characters. The only reason I chose it for a character and not our son is because it seems to be rising in popularity like crazy. I’m afraid it could end up being the next [name]Aiden[/name]. So, I would suggest no variation of [name]Finn[/name]. :-(. [name]Declan[/name] still seems very unused here in the US. I really think your first choice is great; but [name]Declan[/name] is another fabulous, two syllable choice.
I like [name]Declan[/name] or [name]Finn[/name] best… [name]Both[/name] are masculine and strong. I don’t like [name]Callum[/name] at all.
What about [name]Flynn[/name] as a full name? Slightly longer than [name]Finn[/name] and has the L you like, good mix of hard and soft.
[name]Finley[/name] is my favorite of the names you like. [name]Callum[/name] is a good name too though. My advice is wait until the baby is born and see what name suits him. Good luck.
You could use [name]Griffin[/name] and the nn [name]Finn[/name].
I really love [name]Callum[/name] though! and [name]Declan[/name] (see my signature lol)
I really like [name]Callum[/name]. [name]Love[/name] suggestion of [name]Flynn[/name].
[name]Love[/name] [name]Callum[/name]! It’s the best on your list, [name]IMO[/name]. I do like [name]Theodore[/name] too though.
If you don’t want something too popular, don’t go for [name]Declan[/name]. It’s currently #177 in the US and is trending steeply upward. Also, I just recently read it might be the next [name]Aidan[/name]… I definitely see a possible “[name]Declan[/name] boom” in the very near future.
Of all your choices I like [name]Theodore[/name] the best. It’s classic, easily recognized, and easy to pronounce. Also, great nn options of [name]Theo[/name] and [name]Teddy[/name]. Good luck!
I don’t understand how [name]Callum[/name] can be hard to pronounce, but I guess if you’ve never heard it before, it might not be immediately obvious.
I like [name]Callum[/name] a lot, but I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Theodore[/name]. I like its meaning and all its nn -[name]Theo[/name], [name]Ted[/name], [name]Teddy[/name]… However, though it’s not as popular as [name]Declan[/name], it is in the 200 range and I suspect it will continue to climb the popularity ladder. If I were you, I’d stick with [name]Callum[/name].
[name]How[/name] about [name]Callum[/name] [name]Theodore[/name] or [name]Theodore[/name] [name]Callum[/name] as a name?
