I am pretty hopeless at boy names. The 2nd set are my husband’s favorites which I am not sold on. I don’t like [name_m]Cash[/name_m] or Uly and I tend to need a nickname. My daughter is called [name_u]Lee[/name_u] sometimes which doesn’t help cause that’s all I like as a nn for [name_m]Ulysses[/name_m]! The only boy names I really like are [name_m]John[/name_m] or [name_u]Francis[/name_u] which my husband finds “boring”. Any suggestions or criticism are welcome! Thank you!!
Cliff-thats actually my DH name, so [name_m]Ive[/name_m] grown to like it Wallace-Im not partial to “[name_u]Wally[/name_u]” Dean- [name_f]Love[/name_f] it, its on my list Francis- My sons middle name, I loved it but never was a huge [name_m]Frank[/name_m] fan John-I agree, its a little boring to me Raymond- nms, so I dont prefer it Rock- kinda cool, especially in the middle name spot
Ulysses- again nms Cassius- I actually [name_f]Love[/name_f] this name and love [name_u]Cass[/name_u] as a nick name
[name_m]Cliff[/name_m] - I just think [name_m]Cliff[/name_m] [name_m]Richard[/name_m]
[name_u]Wallace[/name_u] - I think either [name_u]Wallace[/name_u] [name_m]Simpson[/name_m] or nn [name_u]Wally[/name_u] which is slang for ‘a bit of an idiot’ (where I live anyway)
[name_u]Dean[/name_u] - I love [name_u]Dean[/name_u] almost as much as I love the name [name_m]Sean[/name_m].
[name_u]Francis[/name_u] - This one has actually been growing on me lately. I always thought of it as [name_f]Frances[/name_f], a girls name, but I met a [name_u]Francis[/name_u] recently and it really suits him.
[name_m]John[/name_m] - I prefer [name_m]Jack[/name_m]
[name_m]Raymond[/name_m] - I like [name_u]Ray[/name_u] on its own but [name_m]Raymond[/name_m] is an old man name for me
[name_m]Rock[/name_m] - I think this would make a cool middle
[name_m]Ulysses[/name_m] - nms at all
[name_m]Cassius[/name_m] - I can see the appeal but its not really my style
[name_m]Cliff[/name_m] - [name_m]Richard[/name_m]? It sounds “dated”
[name_u]Wallace[/name_u] - better in the middle spot. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have Scottish heritage? I would worry about a boy being called [name_u]Wally[/name_u]. [name_u]Dean[/name_u] - One of the best short names around. [name_u]Francis[/name_u] - I’ve loved this name for ages and I love [name_f]Frances[/name_f] for a girl too! [name_u]Dean[/name_u] [name_u]Francis[/name_u] would be lovely. [name_m]John[/name_m] - this name is versatile with two great nn choices: [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and [name_m]Johnny[/name_m]. [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_u]Francis[/name_u] is a wonderful combo.
[name_m]Raymond[/name_m] - “dated”
[name_m]Rock[/name_m] - [name_u]Hudson[/name_u]? No, I would give it a pass. [name_m]Ulysses[/name_m] - strong and evocative [name_m]Cassius[/name_m] - one of my favourite ancient [name_m]Roman[/name_m] names that end in “us”
