Baby Fever

So I’m having a pretty bad case of baby fever and daydreaming about what we would name a 5th girl. Our daughters are [name_f]Lilla[/name_f] [name_u]Clare[/name_u], [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Tess[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f], and [name_f]Josette[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f]. [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] nn is [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] or [name_f]Viv[/name_f] and [name_f]Josette[/name_f] mostly goes by [name_f]Etta[/name_f].

I do love [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]. I do struggle a bit with it being a fruit and our last name being Cook. I think if we were to have another girl a long name (or inversely another 1 syllable name) would work really well.

I’m thinking [name_f]Adele[/name_f] would make a lovely addition to your girls’ names.

I think [name_f]Angeline[/name_f] or [name_f]Nadine[/name_f] would go nicely! I like @elanorelle 's suggestion of [name_f]Adele[/name_f] as well!

I really like [name_f]Faye[/name_f] for you… one combo I love with this name is [name_f]Faye[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
I also like [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_f]Colette[/name_f] maybe
[name_u]Or[/name_u] even [name_f]Nessa[/name_f] [name_f]Lenora[/name_f]

@elanorelle [name_f]Adele[/name_f] feels too serious for my taste. I do like [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], [name_f]Della[/name_f] or [name_f]Delia[/name_f] but I always worry about those sounding too much like [name_f]Lilla[/name_f] (short i like [name_f]Willa[/name_f])

@almostactually [name_f]Angeline[/name_f] makes me think of [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] which I love.

I love [name_f]Faye[/name_f] so much definitely on the short list for both first and middle name choices. [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f], and [name_f]Faye[/name_f] [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] have all been tossed about with previous pregnancies.

I like how all your girls have double letters, if you want to continue the trend [name_f]Allegra[/name_f], [name_u]Camille[/name_u] or [name_u]Willow[/name_u] would make a cute addition to [name_f]Lilla[/name_f], [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], [name_f]Tess[/name_f] & [name_f]Josette[/name_f]!

I do have a double letter list, but some of our favorite names aren’t on it which makes it hard, but it is nice to have the pattern. It’s also tricky as we have an [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_f]Emily[/name_f], ****anna, ***bell, and ****lynn for nieces so I’m not sure if we would pull the trigger on similar names.

Some double letter names I like are [name_f]Estelle[/name_f], [name_f]Stella[/name_f], [name_f]Della[/name_f], [name_f]Gemma[/name_f], [name_f]Emmaline[/name_f], [name_f]Savannah[/name_f], [name_f]Sookie[/name_f] maybe just as a nickname for a [name_f]Suzanne[/name_f]/Susannah variant,

With daughters named [name_f]Lilla[/name_f], [name_f]Josette[/name_f], [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Tess[/name_f], I believe you’re past the point where you look for not just name you love, and have double letters, but also compromise on that criteria, if you know what I mean.
I would go for something like [name_f]Emmaline[/name_f], [name_f]Sookie[/name_f] (I think [name_f]Sookie[/name_f] works better than [name_f]Susanna[/name_f]) or some name that fits with sibset better than following a pattern, you know?

Lilla, [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], [name_f]Tess[/name_f], [name_f]Josette[/name_f] &
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f]
[name_f]Polina[/name_f]
[name_f]Freya[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f]
[name_u]Claude[/name_u]
[name_f]Angelica[/name_f]
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f]
[name_f]Elaine[/name_f]
[name_f]Roxana[/name_f]
[name_f]Gisele[/name_f]
[name_f]Anya[/name_f]
[name_f]Amoret[/name_f]
[name_f]Destiny[/name_f]
[name_f]Kerensa[/name_f]

I would try to think of names outside of double letter pattern, I think it may be too burdensome to try names fitting within it.

Your girls have gorgeous names!

Matilda, [name_f]Amelie[/name_f], [name_f]Polly[/name_f] or [name_f]Iris[/name_f] came to mind

How about [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]?

Winifred “[name_f]Winnie[/name_f]” or [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]

@MemoryBliss typically we keep a double letter name list and another list of names we love and the winner comes out eventually so double letters are something we kept in mind for the last 2 pregnancies but aren’t a total requirement. [name_f]Tess[/name_f] was almost [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] so that’s an old favorite and [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] is very pretty.

@Greyblue Thank you! [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f]

@alexbaguete For some reason [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] just isn’t my style

@Babies123456 DH loves [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] nn [name_f]Winnie[/name_f]. Not a huge fan of [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] but have tossed around [name_f]Aubree[/name_f] or even just [name_f]Bree[/name_f].

I kind of love following patterns so I would be tempted to continue it myself haha, but I think it’s definitely not necessary.

For double letters with your girls I really like
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Hallie[/name_f]/Halle
[name_f]Poppy[/name_f]

[name_f]Helena[/name_f]

Some names that come into my mind (double letters and not):
[name_f]Cassia[/name_f]
[name_f]Philippa[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucille[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Aislinn[/name_f]
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f]
[name_f]Callie[/name_f]
[name_f]Gisella[/name_f]
[name_f]Sienna[/name_f]
[name_f]Eveline[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f](e)

What lovely named daughters. Would you explicitly try to avoid repeating a first initial? How about ending sounds? I am so enthused how you have such a distinguished, yet cohesive sister set!

@lululemonmee
So many great choices here. I particularly like:
Emmeline
Poppy
Tallulah
Esme
Ottilie
Penelope
Fiona
Maeve
Felicity
Elodie

Fiona Kathleen was a top pick when we were expecting Etta, I still love that combo.

@luneth Love Fiona and Esme

@columbiacharm
Thank you! We ended up repeating initials with our pets (Leon & Jasper) so it’s not off-limits for siblings either. As for ending sounds another a isn’t ideal as we have both Lilla and Etta but we would love another ie nickname or single syllable name.
We have always adored Annora, Elowen, and Seraphine but feel like they don’t fit with our daughters names.
I love Ivy, Nora, Sabine, Sylvie and Thea

@cactusgram love Delphine but would probably pair it with a non-french middle.

[name_f]Tess[/name_f] mom here, too!!
LOVING the double consonant trend you have going on with your girls. And also just the overall sensibility that I get from the names. Really gorgeous.

[name_f]Lilla[/name_f] -double L
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] -double N
[name_f]Tess[/name_f] -double S
[name_f]Josette[/name_f] -double T

[name_f]Gemma[/name_f]

  • I feel like this one has a very similar assertive, confident, non-fussy, effortless, but still feminine flair to it.

[name_f]Georgianna[/name_f] or just [name_f]Gianna[/name_f]

  • very NN-able

Cassidy / Cassandra
[name_f]Sybille[/name_f] / [name_f]Sibylle[/name_f]
Alessandra / Alexandra / Alexandria / Alessia
