It’s been a few years since I posted here but I’m super excited to be back! I’m 15 weeks preggo with our third, which is also our third baby girl. So we have 7 year old Amelia Joelle, and almost-5-year-old Nora Juliette. Our last name is very Dutch and very heavy on the “-en” sound. So I need a name that works with Amelia and Nora and that works in English, Dutch, and Italian. It’s not easy! I also don’t want her to feel left out or different in any way so we’re leaning heavily toward another middle that starts with “J”.
Our current list for choices for Baby Girl #3 are these:
Fenna (maybe too Dutch?)
Corinne
Madeleine
Audrey
Evalien
Cardiff
Sophie
Marielle
The only middles I like so far are:
Jacinda/Jacintha
Johanna
Hubby has very traditional tastes and will not do last names as first names, traditionally male names on females, anything too modern or unique. So you can probably see why I’m struggling with a solid list!
I’m super excited to see what suggestions I get here, I had absolutely fantastic experiences during my pregnancies with Amelia and Nora. Thanks so much!
Congratulations! From your list, I think [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] go best with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. Here are some more suggestions based on the names on your list.
From your list, I love [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f]! [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Johanna[/name_f] would be lovely. I also like [name_f]Fenna[/name_f] and [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] for you, although [name_f]Fenna[/name_f] is significantly less common than [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] or [name_f]Nora[/name_f].
Some more suggestions (can’t guarantee they work in Italian as I’m less familiar with the language, sorry!)
[name_f]My[/name_f] immediate thought was [name_f]Evelina[/name_f] I think [name_f]Evelina[/name_f] [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] would be really sweet and [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] feels fresh. I love the idea of [name_f]Evelina[/name_f] [name_f]Jovie[/name_f]!
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourites from your list are [name_f]Corinne[/name_f], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] & [name_f]Marielle[/name_f]. I also love [name_f]Johanna[/name_f] as a middle name.
You’ve had a few suggestions so count any repeats as me being in agreement with the berries
[name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] [name_f]Johanna[/name_f]! It sounds beautiful and works with your daughters! I like [name_f]Johanna[/name_f] for a middle name much better than Jacinda/Jacintha. Another combo I really like is [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Johanna[/name_f]
Thank you so much everyone, you’ve given me tons of names to think about over the next few months! I found baby #1 the easiest to name and then for #2 - we got to our last day in the hospital, day 4, and the nurses were like “uhh… you can’t leave until you name your baby!” They were laughing about it but we were struggling so hard. And I think baby girl #3 is going to be even tougher!!!
I’m sure I’ll post again as we get closer and I narrow down our Top 5 list. Thank you again, I’m super excited to have all these new names to mull over! <3
Of yours I like [name_f]Corinne[/name_f], Evalien, [name_f]Marielle[/name_f], and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]. I like Cardiff but I think it makes a better middle. What about-
[name_f]Marielle[/name_f] [name_f]Johanna[/name_f] is beautiful!
I also really like [name_f]Fenna[/name_f], it’s definitely not too dutch. [name_f]Fenna[/name_f] sounds nice with her sisters names as well.
[name_f]Fenna[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] would be spunky and cute!
