Baby Girl #4

Hello everyone
I’m currently pregnant with baby girl #4. I like unusual names but pronounceable. My daughters names are

[name_f]Bella[/name_f] [name_f]Rayne[/name_f]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Barbara[/name_f]
Emerick Irelyn

Our requirements are it has to be part of our lineage (Irish,[name_m]German[/name_m], Italian, English, or Scottish/Welsh) and has to include a “y” in the name as everyone has a Y in their names. I like so far:

[name_f]Winnie[/name_f]/wynnie
Maebry
[name_f]Maelie[/name_f]/Maylie
[name_u]Darcy[/name_u] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] —> [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] for middle
[name_f]Poesy[/name_f] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] —> also like literary names
[name_u]Bryn[/name_u]
Cyrene
[name_f]Caledonia[/name_f] ([name_f]Callie[/name_f] as a NN)
Ellody

Any suggestions are helpful

From your list, I like [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] and [name_f]Brynn[/name_f]. I’d rather spell [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] with two Ns, but that’s up to you. I would stay away from anything that might involve spelling issues, like Ellody. Good luck!

I like [name_u]Bryn[/name_u] and [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] best too. [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] is a nice combo. I also like [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] but prefer it as a nickname. I think [name_u]Wynn[/name_u] nn [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] would be cute. Not a fan of the alternate spellings on Ellody and Cyrene, and [name_f]Caledonia[/name_f] is a bit harsh sounding to me.

I have always loved [name_u]Bryn[/name_u]! I had a friend growing up that spelled it [name_f]Brynne[/name_f] which I kind of like.

I like [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] as a NN too but my husband hates [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] and that’s basically the only name I’ve seen that can be shortened to that nickname. [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] I like too not sure on having another kid with an “e” name. I’m leaning towards [name_u]Darcy[/name_u], ideally I really wanted to use Brontë but hubby shot that down real quick haha

[name_f]Poesy[/name_f] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] is lovely!

I love [name_u]Wynne[/name_u] (pronounced “win” or “win-ee”) for a girl too.

I quite like Cyrene but prefer [name_f]Eirene[/name_f] or [name_f]Cybele[/name_f].

Another idea might be to have Wylde or Wylder as the middle name to get your “y” in.

I think [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] is a lovely choice, along with [name_f]Poesy[/name_f]; I also love both with the middle [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]. What about Isley? Pronounced the same way as [name_f]Isla[/name_f] but it has the Y you wanted.

[name_f]Winnie[/name_f] could be a nickname for:

[name_u]Winter[/name_u]
[name_u]Winslow[/name_u]
[name_f]Winslet[/name_f]
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f]
[name_f]Winsome[/name_f]
[name_u]Wynn[/name_u]

I really like [name_f]Posey[/name_f] from your list.

I love [name_f]Poesy[/name_f], it is so, so adorable! And I’m actually really loving the combo [name_f]Poesy[/name_f] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]. That would be my pick right there! I do also like the suggestion of [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] nn [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] alot.

I’m really liking alot of Welsh names for you. Here are some suggestions-

Aderyn
[name_f]Anwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Bronwyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Carys[/name_f]
[name_f]Catrin[/name_f]
[name_f]Delyth[/name_f]
[name_f]Dilys[/name_f]
[name_f]Eira[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleri[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwyneira[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f]
[name_f]Mabyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Mairwen[/name_f]
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u]
[name_f]Morwenna[/name_f]
[name_f]Nia[/name_f]
[name_f]Olwen[/name_f] (could be spelled [name_f]Olwyn[/name_f])
[name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f]
[name_f]Rhonwen[/name_f]
[name_u]Seren[/name_u]
[name_u]Tegan[/name_u]

And many of them, I’d think any that contain -win- or -wen- could have the nickname [name_f]Winnie[/name_f].

[name_f]Poesy[/name_f] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] is incredible. It’s adorable, sweet, and spunky all in one. I love it. [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] is also good though, followed by [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] (I prefer two Ns but either way is fine)

I also agree about [name_u]Winter[/name_u] nn [name_f]Winnie[/name_f], I think that’d be so cute.
