Baby girl Aili

I know a darling girl named Ayalie “eye-a-lee”. It’s very unique and beautiful and she is a super sweet child, friend of my daughter’s.

I was reading this thinking how nice [name_f]Aili[/name_f] is, and how much more accessible than [name_f]Ailis[/name_f], which I’ve loved for a while but which would be hard to wear in the US. So I am delighted that you went with [name_f]Aili[/name_f] and it sounds like your little one wears it well! Belated congrats

I like it a lot!

I pronounced it AIL-ee, because it has the word ail in it, but that’s really not a big deal to correct.

Sorry to go a little off-topic, but I met an American [name_f]Ailis[/name_f] once! Only briefly, so I can’t speak for her experience with her name, but she was very gregarious and friendly.

I have an 8 month old daughter named Ailee pronounced “eye-lee” she’s named after my [name_f]MIL[/name_f] “Ai” and my maiden name “[name_u]Lee[/name_u]”. “Ai” also means love in Chinese. [name_m]Even[/name_m] tho the spellings are different your [name_f]Aili[/name_f] and my Ailee have pretty awesome names!!

Pronunciation isn’t bad, but spelling strongly reminds me of aioli (garlic flavoured mayonnaise).

I love it! Spelled just as it is-[name_f]Aili[/name_f]

My first guess was AY-lee, but I like it either way!
