[name]Baby[/name] girl #2’s arrival is 3 weeks from today and we are still undecided on a name. Her older sister is [name]Juliet[/name] LaClair (LaClair being a family name). I [name]LOVE[/name] my oldest daughter’s name and I’m having a hard time finding something that is both elegant and cute for baby #2. These are our short lists right now. Any suggestions about these names or others? Help!
First names
[name]Fiona[/name]
[name]Violet[/name]
[name]Felicity[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Phoebe[/name]
I would choose [name]Fiona[/name]. It works well with many middles, and I love how it goes with [name]Juliet[/name]. You could use another family name as a middle though or use LaClaire again. It could be a cute nod to siblings.
I’m loving [name]Fiona[/name] [name]Caroline[/name]! It has the same vibe as [name]Juliet[/name] LaClair and is has “o” alliteration which matches the “l” alliteration in your first daughter’s name. Perfect.
I love [name]Fiona[/name] but I think [name]Daphne[/name] best strikes the same cord as [name]Juliet[/name]. As for middles, is there another family name you could customize or use? I like similar sibsets. Otherwise, all of your names are gorgeous for middles and would all work well with [name]Daphne[/name].
Also, I noticed [name]Daphne[/name] and [name]Lorelei[/name] on your list…have you ever considered [name]Laurel[/name] as either a first or middle? It’s my name and I love it! Perhaps [name]Fiona[/name] [name]Laurel[/name]? I think that would be cute with LaClair.
I think [name]Fiona[/name] and [name]Felicity[/name] go the best with [name]Juliet[/name]. [name]Violet[/name] is lovely but too matchy. [name]Daphne[/name] and [name]Phoebe[/name] pale in comparison to [name]Juliet[/name]'s beauty. [name]Fiona[/name] is my favorite from your list.
I vote for [name]Felicity[/name], but none of your middles sound just right with it to me… [name]Do[/name] you have any other family names you’d like to honor? I think a one syllable name would sound nice, but [name]Felicity[/name] [name]Eve[/name] is a little to “feliciteeve” sounding.
