hey yall im ashley, and we are expecting our first baby girl at the end of may. we already have 2 boys [name]Mason[/name] and [name]Beau[/name]… my husband and i are not agreeing on any names, I picked [name]Mason[/name] anthony (10) and he picked [name]Beau[/name] hunter(3)… yes i know what yall are thinking but my hubby is a true redneck… my husband loves girlie names and i love unisex names. i need some help… he likes names like brielle and brittany and umm no i dont think so… i love names like
[name]Sawyer[/name]
[name]Avery[/name]
[name]Auden[/name]
Elliette
[name]Adrienne[/name]
the only girlie ones i like are sophie, sophia and olivia but they are so popular i didnt want to go that way… now my mom passed away 9 years ago and her name was kimberly ann i tried doing [name]Kimberlyn[/name] or kinleigh but our oldest said it upset him… so i thought maybe doing something like [name]Sophia[/name] mae kimberly so it was in there but not said out loud… please help and sorry for all the talk…
You could use just [name]Lee[/name] from [name]Kimberly[/name], perhaps as a middle? I think it’s beautiful.
[name]Beau[/name] is great by the way - I don’t think of it as a redneck name.
[name]Lee[/name] [name]Auden[/name] (she could go by [name]Auden[/name])
[name]Ember[/name] from [name]Kimberly[/name]? Or there’s [name]Everley[/name]/[name]Everly[/name].
I think [name]Magnolia[/name] would be pretty adorable with a [name]Beau[/name] and a [name]Mason[/name], but don’t take my word for it - I’m awful with Southern names.
thank you my husbands middle name is lee and that is his grandfathers first name who has passed on as well… i dont want to use ann for a middle since my mil threw a fit she wasnt included in kimberlyn when we agrreed on it for my mom… argh this baby is never going to have a name …
I like [name]Avery[/name] best from your list.
[name]How[/name] about you do a name from your list, a name from his list and then [name]Kimberly[/name]. So maybe…
[name]Auden[/name] [name]Brielle[/name] [name]Kimberly[/name]
[name]Sophia[/name] [name]Brielle[/name] [name]Kimberly[/name]
[name]Olivia[/name] [name]Britt[/name] [name]Kimberly[/name]
[name]Hope[/name] this helps.
I love [name]Sawyer[/name] for a girl. It is one of my top names as well. [name]Love[/name] love love!
What do you think of [name]Seraphina[/name]/[name]Serafina[/name]? It is a very girls name that your husband might light…in fact it’s very similar to the [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Olivia[/name], [name]Isabella[/name] girls names that you both seem to like. [name]Sera[/name] or Phia/[name]Fia[/name] are cute nicknames you might like that remain girly while also being unique.
my mom use to call me tilly so i was thinking [name]Matilda[/name] and she use to tell me instead of i love you we need olive juice… do yall like [name]Olive[/name] for a first name … i also stumbled across Willowany suggestions/…
[name]Olive[/name] [name]Auden[/name] would be lovely. You might also consider [name]Kinsley[/name] to honor your mom. I would use a more girlie middle with it…maybe [name]Kinsley[/name] [name]Olivia[/name] or [name]Kinsley[/name] [name]Olive[/name]
great suggestions i dont like kinsley but i do like Kinleigh…
Hmm…here are some ideas that may bridge the gap between your two styles:
[name]Sylvie[/name]
[name]Delaney[/name]
[name]Ainsley[/name]
[name]Della[/name]
Oh, and I love [name]Willow[/name], btw!
I’ve recently heard [name]Bellamy[/name] which I think is a sweet name. Unfortunately my husband has a bad association with it so it’s off limits for us. [name]Belle[/name] or [name]Bell[/name] is a sweet girly nickname and not as common and overused as [name]Bella[/name]. It seems to have that girly factor your husband likes while also staying some what’s gender neutral for you. [name]Just[/name] a suggestions.
i love della but a friend of mine who is due in july is naming her baby della or i would… not a fan of the others… thank you though
I like [name]Auden[/name] from your list!
What about [name]Arden[/name]? It has a unisex feel, but leans toward the girls, which your hubby might like. [name]Arden[/name] [name]Lee[/name]/[name]Leigh[/name]? [name]Arden[/name] [name]Ember[/name] [name]Lee[/name]?
I think that the name [name]Matilda[/name] is great, I noticed you mentioned it later on in the thread as one that you might like. I think [name]Matilda[/name] is a beautiful name and there are plenty of nn options, [name]Tillie[/name], [name]Til[/name], [name]Mat[/name], [name]Mattie[/name], etc.
By the way, I absolutely love your boys’ names, [name]Mason[/name] and [name]Beau[/name] are both great!
thank you so much jtucker…
[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Auden[/name] or [name]Sophia[/name] [name]Avery[/name] would be cute.
What about: [name]Linden[/name] [name]Kaylee[/name] (K and [name]Lee[/name] for your mom)
[name]Sutton[/name] [name]Waverly[/name], [name]Rowan[/name] [name]Brielle[/name], Greir [name]Sophia[/name]?
[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Olive[/name] would be pretty sweet. You could use the nn [name]Molly[/name] too, if you’re a fan (M.[name]Olive[/name] = [name]Molly[/name])
I [name]LOVE[/name] Elliette. Your husband could call her [name]Ellie[/name] or [name]Ella[/name] since that’s more girly.
As for your mom, honestly, I’m a fan of honoring someone in a way that’s clear as day. I’ve never been a fan of honoring them in some roundabout kind of way that only you can figure out. If you want to honor her (which I think is great), I would give your child the middle name of [name]Kimberly[/name]. You could always add a second middle name if it’s a flow problem or a style problem.
Other unisex names that you might like (if you can get your husband on-board):
[name]Ellison[/name] (or [name]Ellisen[/name])
[name]Emerson[/name] (or Emersen)
[name]Reed[/name]
[name]Jamie[/name] (you can name her Jamisen if you wanted a full name)
[name]Regis[/name]
[name]Regan[/name]
[name]Remy[/name] (or [name]Remi[/name])
[name]Lane[/name] (or [name]Laine[/name])
[name]Presley[/name]
[name]Michaela[/name] (it’s a girly name for your husband, but you can call her the more unisex nickname [name]Micki[/name])
[name]Ashton[/name]
[name]Carter[/name] (not a big fan of this one because it’s so masculine, but I just met a little girl with this name last week, so I thought I’d throw it in)
I really love [name]Olivia[/name], but it is very (too) popular, yes.
I like [name]Avery[/name] for a boy.
What do you think about:
