I have a girl and a boy — [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] and [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_u]Emerson[/name_u]. [name_f]My[/name_f] wife also has a son, [name_u]Jude[/name_u], from her previous marriage. I am due for a girl in [name_u]September[/name_u] and we’re having a lot of trouble with the name. For the first two, it was easy, but now we’re stuck!
Here are some girl names I love: [name_f]Winona[/name_f], [name_u]Stevie[/name_u], [name_f]Olive[/name_f], [name_u]Lennon[/name_u], [name_u]Presley[/name_u], [name_u]Harper[/name_u], [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], [name_f]Gwen[/name_f]. Most of these we aren’t sure we want to use, but we could be convinced.
We want it to be a bit less “girly” than Elodie… we love the name for our girl but my masculine wife has a very feminine name and is sensitive to that. I love [name_u]James[/name_u] for a girl but we can’t agree on that one.
We are open to any suggestions! Thank you so, so much!
[name_f]Olive[/name_f] and [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] are my favorites from your list. Tailored yet feminine, and could always go by [name_u]Ollie[/name_u] or Wen for more neutral options.
Here to try and sell you on [name_u]Lennon[/name_u] from your list I know a little [name_u]Lennon[/name_u] and it’s so cute on her. Highly recommend! Her parents sometimes call her [name_u]Lenny[/name_u]
[name_u]Stevie[/name_u] on your list also makes me think of [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] and [name_u]Frankie[/name_u]. All so cool for a little girl!
[name_f]Olive[/name_f] (could have nn [name_u]Ollie[/name_u] or Liv) feels well balanced and cool.
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f] is rugged, solid and cool with sweetness too
[name_u]Lennon[/name_u] has a nice meaning
With [name_f]Elodie[/name_f], [name_m]Felix[/name_m] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u] - and considering your names and preferences - I’ll suggest:
Congratulations!
I love your list of names, especially [name_u]Stevie[/name_u] and [name_f]Olive[/name_f]. [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] is always a classic.
I like Winona & Gwen - great names and still girly enough so that Elodie not cut adrift while Win and Gwen being quite tomboyish or at least very straightforward. Olive balances the set very well and is nice and tailored. I love Adelaide (esp nn Daisy) and think it would match really well but it’s a girly name in my mind. Stevie probably too far on the unisex to boyish for me with your other choices.
How about:
Kinsley
Tamsin
Piper
Imogen
Faline
Blair
Maren
Harriet
Bridget
Catherine - Kit
Ingrid
Briar/Bree
Astrid
Someone recently in the “How I Named [name_f]My[/name_f] Baby” articles (HERE) chose the name [name_f]Leni[/name_f] for their girl, which I thought was really cute! It’s not too feminine, but I think it totally works for a girl. I think the alternate spelling gives it totally different vibes than the more common man name too! And someone mentioned they know a [name_u]Lennon[/name_u] who sometimes goes by [name_u]Lenny[/name_u], so I think [name_f]Leni[/name_f] could totally work with that name on your list!
Others:
[name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]
[name_u]Drew[/name_u]
[name_u]Harper[/name_u]
[name_u]Hollis[/name_u]
[name_u]Holland[/name_u]
[name_f]Elle[/name_f]
[name_u]Blair[/name_u]
[name_u]Juno[/name_u]
[name_u]Cleo[/name_u]
[name_u]Indigo[/name_u] (nn [name_u]Indie[/name_u] / [name_u]Indy[/name_u] )
[name_u]Indie[/name_u] / [name_u]Indy[/name_u] by itself
[name_u]Marlo[/name_u]
[name_u]Bo[/name_u] / [name_u]Beau[/name_u] (I knew a little girl with this name!)

Olive and Gwen seem to fit the general vibe of your 3 kids’ names. I think Winona fits the least, and defaults to something cutesie, Winnie, which may be the opposite of what your wife is looking for, per your comments.
Elodie Quinn
Felix Emerson
Jude
I was going to suggest Quinn right off that bat, but that’s Elodie’s MN. Great name choice! And, that also tells me I might be on the right page in terms of suggestions…
Like your wife, I personally don’t like cutsie or flowery names. I found girls names difficult as well. I’ll share the names we considered.
(Quinn)
Claire
Blaire
Tess
Tamsin
Sibyl / Sybil
Gwen
Alice (my spouse’s pick)
Daphne - forgot about this one. This one was a constant near runner up, but might jive nicely with your 3!
Mel / Liv / Liz / Meg - loved these as whole names, didn’t like the long forms, but just didn’t take the plunge.
I like the idea of
[name_f]Carleigh[/name_f] [name_u]Collins[/name_u] or [name_u]Carlisle[/name_u] [name_u]Collins[/name_u], nicknamed [name_f]Cece[/name_f].
I quite love [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] and [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] as long feminine names that could be such cool boyish names for short - Jo/ [name_u]Joe[/name_u] and [name_f]Gwen[/name_f]. Also maybe some other name that is a feminine version of a masculine one? [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f]? [name_f]Frederica[/name_f]? Theodora?Etc.
