I would personally only use [name_u]Ever[/name_u] as a nn for [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u].

From your choices though, I think [name_u]Ever[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is the nicest.

It’s not my favorite, but I don’t dislike it. I would use [name_u]Ever[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f].

I love [name_u]Ever[/name_u] on it’s own… I would use it in a heartbeat, if only it went with our surname sob
My choice from your list would be [name_u]Ever[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f].

PS. Would love to hear your other kids names

I agree it would be helpful (and just plain interesting for name nerds) to know the other kids’ names.

I’m on the fence as to its usability - I know [name_u]Ever[/name_u] has been used as a standalone name, and I like the sound of it just aesthetically, but something keeps me from committing to it. I also wonder if it could be an easy target for teasing (“have you ever”, “never ever”, etc.) but I don’t know how likely that would be. I’d most prefer it as a nickname for something else, but I don’t know what for if [name_u]Everly[/name_u] (and then presumably [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]) is too popular for you. I don’t like Everlynn - [name_u]Ever[/name_u] itself looks much more dignified and formal and a little mysterious, while Everlynn looks trendy and cutesy to me, and so close to [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] that I’d wish you just used that.

This might still not appeal, but I recently met an [name_f]Eveline[/name_f] - she’s francophone so she pronounces it like ev-uh-LEEN (but the “leen” is softer than it is in, say, [name_f]Colleen[/name_f] in English - kind of a hybrid of “leen” and “lynn” if that makes sense). What about [name_f]Eveline[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f], nn [name_u]Ever[/name_u]? Or that might be too close to [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] for you.

It feels counterintuitive to me to use [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] or [name_f]Grace[/name_f] as the middle name since [name_u]Ever[/name_u] is quite modern and unusual. If I had to pick one I suppose it would be [name_u]Ever[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] - I don’t love that it’s two English words together, but the meaning isn’t bad if you put them together, and I’ve seen [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] used so much that [name_f]Grace[/name_f] still feels a bit fresher.

I love [name_u]Ever[/name_u]! I vote [name_u]Ever[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
Good luck!

I like [name_u]Ever[/name_u], but don’t love it with either middle. Are you set on [name_f]Grace[/name_f] or [name_u]Lynn[/name_u]? I would choose [name_u]Ever[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] over [name_u]Ever[/name_u] [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] and Everlynn [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. Everlynn sounds a bit to me like an awkward mispronunciation of [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u].

You could also do [name_f]Eva[/name_f] prn. Eh-vah (like [name_u]Ever[/name_u] with an English accent :)) but that kinda loses the vibe of [name_u]Ever[/name_u]… I’ll vote [name_u]Ever[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. Good luck!

Thank you all for the great input! I like the sound of [name_f]Eveline[/name_f] but I would rather not use a name where there are so many different ways for it to be mispronunced. Our other kids have word-ish names and purposefully named to not have nicknames. Boys: Summit [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] and [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u], Girl: [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] — It really wasn’t very popular 10 years ago! Their middle names are all family names, we like [name_f]Grace[/name_f] better than [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] as well. We also like [name_u]Eden[/name_u] but I’m afraid it will be climbing the charts quickly like [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] did in the last 10 years. Does [name_u]Eden[/name_u] seem unique to you all or is it almost “trendy”?

I love [name_u]Ever[/name_u]! I’ve considered using it myself, sort of as a tribute family name. But, I love it especially with [name_f]Grace[/name_f]! Such a beautiful word picture. It’s just a cool, pretty name, and pairing it with a virtue like [name_f]Grace[/name_f] makes it even cooler!

[name_u]Ever[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] has my vote!

I know a little girl named [name_u]Ever[/name_u] and I gotta say, she wears it with grace and dignity. I thought it would be too cutesy or strange, but it really works well on her.

I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the idea of [name_u]Ever[/name_u] [name_u]Lynn[/name_u]. You could use it as a double barrel when you want to, or just stick with [name_u]Ever[/name_u] most of the time.

Since your other kids have somewhat unusual names I doubt you’ll have a problem. Be brave! [name_u]Ever[/name_u] [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] is gorgeous!

Thank you! I figured it wouldn’t be a surprise for us to choose a unique name but it’s nice to hear that the name can grow on people :).

I love love [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_u]Ever[/name_u]. Your other kids have great names as well (especially [name_m]Atlas[/name_m]!). I’m not crazy about [name_f]Grace[/name_f] or [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] as middle names, but I choose [name_u]Ever[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] out of the two.

I adore the name [name_u]Ever[/name_u]. At first when I heard it I wasn’t certain, but now I really like it. [name_u]Ever[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is beautiful, so is [name_u]Ever[/name_u] [name_u]Lynn[/name_u].

That’s how I felt too! It’s definitely growing on me more as time goes by.
