I have a beautiful new baby girl but she’s currently nameless. We have been using one of these names ([name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]) but I want to make absolutely sure it is the right choice. We had a few health scares so stress and distraction has been a big part of my indecision. I had another post that was so helpful but this is my last one before she has her name. I love nature/vintage names but not sure I have that going on exactly…Anyway, here they are! Thanks in advance!
Her sister is [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and brother is [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Christian[/name_m]
Here are the choices and we’re flexible with the middle names.
[name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] . Pretty, and [name_f]Cora[/name_f] has an O in it just like [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. Also two syllables like her siblings. [name_f]Cora[/name_f] is my favorite. [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] is my second fav.
I 100% vote [name_f]Rose[/name_f]! I love how it goes with [name_f]Violet[/name_f] & [name_m]Leo[/name_m]. I also really love how both of your daughters would be named after flowers and your son has a kind of animal(ish) themed name. If you want to keep the C middle name then maybe Canidce, [name_f]Constance[/name_f], or [name_u]Carmen[/name_u]? But [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] is really pretty!
Ps- I really hope her health imporves (unless she’s already better.) None the less, Congrats!
I like [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] best, I think [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] work really well together. Instead of the ‘O’ link, all of these names have an L in them, so they’re still connected but with a different letter.
My second choice would be [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], but I really love [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Rose[/name_f] with [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_m]Leo[/name_m], and I think [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] is a gorgeous combo!
[name_f]Cora[/name_f] with [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_m]Leo[/name_m] is my favorite!! (I like [name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] better than [name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] though.)
Stick with [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]! I absolutely love it!!
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is great but now that I know both of your other kids’ middle names start with ‘c’ I think that [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Cora[/name_f] should be a consideration.
Yes I did think that the middle name starting with a C would be nice.
Also, I noticed that one response wrote the name as “[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]” instead of “[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f].” [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think this is a problem. I wonder if she’ll get that a lot…

It’s hard to say good-bye to [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] too, since it’s a family name. This is so hard!
I love [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], and think it goes really well with both [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_m]Leo[/name_m]. But, I also think it’ll be nice if all of the names share the letter O. I’m not a fan of [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Francesca[/name_f], but [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] is stunning. I’m so in love with it, classic but unexpected because of [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] in the middle spot. Gorgeous, definitely my choice.
I love [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], and since you’re already using it, I think you should go with it! [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Francesca[/name_f], if you’re okay with moving the middles, sounds gorgeous to me.
I think [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] is absolutely perfect with the sibset–coordinated without being too matchy-- and if you’re using it and it works you should definitely keep it. I love [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] independently, but [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] would be my first choice for you. [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is very, very nice. Maybe [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] would work as well?
I like [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] but [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] fits with your nature theme a little more. [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] is gorgeous and sweet.
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] feels more like a nickname to me, I think I’d assume her full name was [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]. However, it is still pretty and I’ve always preferred [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] to [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] so what do I know haha.
My favorite is [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] or [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] as a pp suggested. Congrats on your beautiful baby girl!

I love the idea of using another middle name that begins with the letter C. [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] works well because it is a traditional/ classic name and is the exact same length (9 letters) as [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and [name_m]Christian[/name_m].
Personally, I like [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] a lot better than [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]. To me it is an entirely different name, not a nickname.
