So we were induced 3 weeks early as they were worried our little one was too small, she turned out not so small but because she was induced she had to go on a tube for oxygen and a light for her jaundice so she was wearing a mask. Now her masks off is love to give her a name.
My top choice was pomeline [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] as she’s been called pompom the whole way through, we also had [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] and [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] or [name_f]Xanthia[/name_f] as back ups.
I still love pomeline but sh told his parents and now has seriously chickened out and I’ve never been completely convinced about [name_f]Cressida[/name_f], any body have any ideas for us were stuck!
I think [name_f]Pomeline[/name_f] is precious 
go with your first instinct on this one, family will come around to it once they get used to it

I like [name_f]Pomeline[/name_f]! If it doesn’t seem right, maybe you could switch the names to [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Pomeline[/name_f] so you could still call her Pompom, but you could be [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] or another nickname for school or jobs?

Thanks guys. I knew we should have finalised it before!! She’s had her face in a mask for a few days so it’s been made harder, I think I’ve gone off [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] a bit too just keep thinking it means blond and she’s so dark! Very silly as my son was the same and now really blond.
Like daisy pomeline, was definitely thinking clementine when I was holding her last night but I think I’m second guessing myself, bought up [name_f]Talitha[/name_f] again yesterday to my sh and he liked it but not sure it’s great to add more to the mix well get confused!!

But honestly I would just go ahead and use [name_f]Pomeline[/name_f] anyway, since this is what youve been thinking of calling her for a long time. And its just such an adorable name too!

I love this suggestion. You can still call her Pompom, but in the future she has a full name and endless possibilities of nicknames.
I love the suggestion of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Pomeline[/name_f], too. Definitely think you should keep [name_f]Pomeline[/name_f] as her middle name, anyway, so that to her parents she can always be their little pompom

I agree that if your DH really won’t have it, you should certainly keep it as a middle so you can still call her Pompom if you like. I was also going to suggest [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] as another potential way to get to that nickname. Or how about [name_f]Pomona[/name_f] - Roman goddess of fruit trees so an extra little tie-in to the Pom/[name_f]Pomme[/name_f] nickname?
I really like [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] too (it’s on our list!) but it sounds like you feel like a longer name would suit this little one more. [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is very pretty and she could be [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] for short, which is lovely, but it wouldn’t work with [name_f]Pomeline[/name_f] in the middle of course.
I still think it’s worth pushing for [name_f]Pomeline[/name_f], to be honest, as long as you feel it suits her. Your DH does like the name, he’s just been given cold feet by the reaction of some family members. Give it a week or two and everyone will have completely accepted whatever you decide to call her. I wouldn’t give up hope!
