I love [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], but don’t like the idea of it being in the top 100 for a first name. I have a super popular name for my age and hate it! Thoughts?
I was in the middle of that. I had a name ([name_f]Kristin[/name_f]) that in the 90’s to early 2000’s when I was in pre-school and elementary school I was the only one and I loved it; however, the name was in the top 50 in the 80’s so I’ve still met a lot of people with my name (usually spelled [name_f]Kristen[/name_f]).
Out of your names I’m really drawn to [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]! Its so strong but gentle at the same time. I’d likely follow it with [name_f]Audra[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], but I could see that getting confused with [name_f]Audrey[/name_f].
Maeve as a first name is very nice but i’m not 100% convinced on [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f].
Maeve [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] in my favorite! I don’t think having a top 100 name is that bad- top 10 could be frustrating, but I know my name was in the top 50 when I was born and I’ve only ever known a few others.
Bridget [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] would be my second choice
I don’t think [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is super popular, not all the names in top 100 are very popular (top 20 is what I consider as very popular, and top 10 super popular).
[name_f]Audra[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is beautiful!
I don’t think top 100 is super popular at all, especially if it’s lower end of that - top 10 or 20 is all you really need to worry about in terms of huge popularity, or if it’s a huge riser. If you love [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] the most, go with [name_f]Maeve[/name_f].
Congratulations!
Would your daughter having another classmate with the same name bother you? I don’t think she’s likely to know many people with her name, unless it becomes more popular in the future.
What about a longer name with the nickname [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]? Like [name_f]Mavis[/name_f].
From your list, I like [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] the most. It’s unique but not weird and just beautiful.
Not sure if you’re looking for suggestions, but in case you are;

I think that if [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is your favorite, then that is the name for you! [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is a rising name but it is pretty regionally specific, so it depends where you live!
If [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is ultimately too much of a risk, I think [name_f]Audra[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] would be a good choice. I have only met one [name_f]Audra[/name_f] so it is not widely used, but looks and sounds familiar.
A lot of names that were ranked #1, for example, 30 years ago actually had a lot more total number of births for a given year than #1 does now. So the ranking numbers aren’t always comparable between years. [name_m]Just[/name_m] something to think about! I like [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] but if you love [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] then just do it!
My favorite would be [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f]! It flows a bit better than the others in my opinion and it’s just really pretty overall!
My favourite is [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f]. I personally love [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] it’s such a sweet Irish name with a great mythological history. I don’t think [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is popular for me I feel popular names are names within the top 50 names outside tend to be rarely used. In my eyes she would share her name with someone in her school rather than class if that makes sense. I think [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is beautiful and I think she sounds great with [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] giving cool Irish vibes
Judging from NB recently [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] does seem like it’s going to be on the rise like the next [name_f]Elowen[/name_f].I had a popular name growing up so I don’t blame you for the concern but will say I think of your choices [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is the best fit.
I’d choose [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] or [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]! Although, I may be a little biased because my name is [name_f]Cathleen[/name_f], and I love [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]! But [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] is super cute too!
Congratulations on your little girl! [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite is [name_f]Audra[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] with [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] coming in a close second. [name_f]Audra[/name_f] is known, but uncommon, and has a sophisticated vibe which I love.
