[name]Eliza[/name] Head sounds fine to me. I think [name]Eliza[/name] complements [name]Josephine[/name] better than [name]Lilah[/name]. You are right about [name]Lila[/name] becoming trendy. I only see it going up more.
I kind of see what you mean about [name]Eliza[/name] Head. It kind of sounds like “lies ahead.” It’s too bad, because [name]Eliza[/name] is a lovely name. and does go well with your daughter’s name. [name]Lilah[/name] is rising in popularity and has a lot of “name neighbors,” but it is really pretty.
I’d definitely go with [name]Eliza[/name]. I don’t think it sounds strange at all with your last name. It’s a great fit with [name]Josephine[/name], and unlike using [name]Lilah[/name], she shouldn’t have to constantly spell it for people.
[name]Just[/name] wanted to say thanks for the votes and comments so far … Anyone else?
[name]How[/name] about [name]Delilah[/name]? I think [name]Delilah[/name] sounds great with [name]Josephine[/name], as they are both three syllable old fashioned names. [name]Delilah[/name] allows for the nn [name]Lila[/name], but also a way to distinguish your daughter if she finds herself surrounded by other L names (she always has the option of going by [name]Dee[/name] instead). [name]Delilah[/name] also has a very similar sound and rhythm to [name]Eliza[/name], so it seems like it might offer the best of both worlds AND avoid problems with your last name. Of course [name]Dee[/name] Head might be less than ideal.
[name]Eliza[/name] [name]Mary[/name] is very beautiful and classic
I kind of hear “it lies ahead” with [name]Eliza[/name] Head, it’s not a huge deal but it is something to consider - I don’t know, something just seems a bit off
I really like [name]Lilah[/name] Head though! I work with children and I can honestly say that I have never met a [name]Lilah[/name] (or any of the variants, now that I think about it). I’m sure they are popular names but that’s just been my experience
I voted for [name]Eliza[/name] as well. I do see the point about “Lies Ahead” but I honestly would not have noticed had it not been pointed out. I think three-syllable names always sound good with one-syllable last names, and [name]Eliza[/name] is awesome with [name]Josephine[/name]. [name]Lilah[/name] is lovely too, but not quite as spunky. [name]Eliza[/name] and [name]Josephine[/name] both have a certain amount of sass (which I love).
Best of luck!
