I’ve fallen unexpectedly in love with the name [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]. Nothing else is giving me the feels like this name and I’ve been looking a lot. The problem is that our last name is Rickner and I’m worried about the alliteration. Does it sound sing songy and cartoony? I don’t want baby to be displeased with it growing up because of the RR.
If you think it sounds okay, can you also provide some middle name ideas? I’m stuck there.
Please be honest. Thank you in advance for your thoughts and opinions xoxo
I wasn’t a fan of alliteration either until I fell In love with [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and partner at the times last name was [name_m]Russell[/name_m]. The best way I saw to deal with it was with syllables. EX: [name_f]My[/name_f] daughter is [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Annabeth[/name_f]
I think for [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] either a 1or 2 mn sounds best amongst the illeteration. Also steer clear of any hard rs
Rosalie is gorgeous and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] Rickner sounds absolutely fine.
I would obviously just go for a middle that doesn’t have R at the start. I think names with alliteration or a repeated letter sound fine. [name_f]My[/name_f] eldest is a [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u]
I find alliteration to be fun alot of the times!
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] Rickner is lovely, I’d just avoid an ‘R’ mn as triple alliteration is pushing it a bit.
I like the suggestion of [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]!
Sorry, but as the bearer of an alliterative name i must say i’d prefer not to have one!
I do like alliteration between middle and last names, though. To my ear, (something with either two four syllables, for example) [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] Rickner or [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] Rickner would be ideal.
I think it sounds fine! [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] [name_m]Reynolds[/name_m]’ middle name is [name_m]Rodney[/name_m] if that makes you feel any better! I think I’d avoid another R name though, if I were you.
There have been a lot of great suggestions so far so I’ll just say that I really like [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f].
Welcome! I really don’t think it’s that bad! When I hate alliteration is when it’s RRR like [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] Rickner. That BOTHERS me. [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is my favourite!
