We just found out that we are expecting our second girl. First is [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]. [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is a name i have always loved. [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] is a family name.
My typical style is classic timeless but not super trendy or super common. However I will not automatically nix a name for being in top 100, etc. Above all I just want to love the name. But I don’t like anything too frilly - not feeling [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] or [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] etc.
This time cannot find a name I absolutely love. My only recurring name is a family name on my husbands side - [name_f]Ellen[/name_f]. However I don’t even know if he will go for it. Also like the name [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. As a MN it’s really common, but not so much as a FN - maybe? Other name considered in the past is [name_f]Elise[/name_f].
Please help me get a list of classic solid girl names so bring to hubby! Thanks in advance.
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] is beautiful! I think [name_f]Elise[/name_f] is my favorite of your choices. So gorgeous and timeless.
From your choices, I love [name_f]Elise[/name_f]. I think it’s feminine and fresh. [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is a great name as well. A bit classic while still trendy.
[name_f]IMO[/name_f]…I think [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] is great as a mn!
Here are some other names that are solid and classic that go well with [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] is lovely! [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is a great name but I worry everyone would always assume she’s a [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] - annoying in its own right, and then I think [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] are a little bit too matchy (although it could work). [name_f]Kate[/name_f] just also feels sort of short and nicknamey next to the full [name_f]Caroline[/name_f].
[name_f]Elise[/name_f] is a nice name and goes nicely with [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] AND is a nod to [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] a little bit with that beginning. [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] nn [name_f]Elise[/name_f] is also a nice suggestion - [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] are quite nicely balanced. [name_f]Elise[/name_f] makes me think of [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], [name_f]Louise[/name_f], and [name_f]Louisa[/name_f], which are all nice with [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] the best personally.
I like the suggestion of [name_f]Helena[/name_f] for you as an update for [name_f]Ellen[/name_f]. I’d also suggest [name_f]Elena[/name_f]. And [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. [name_f]Helen[/name_f] is nice too but personally I’d avoid another N ending next to [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]. Not a huge thing though.
Another alliteration name would be lovely, if you’re into that. I could see [name_f]Elise[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] with [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f].
