I like [name_u]Blaire[/name_u]
Something like [name_u]Blaire[/name_u] [name_m]Gibson[/name_m] or [name_u]Blaire[/name_u] [name_u]Guthrie[/name_u] or whatever sounds really great.
2nd choice would be [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. It’s popular but not ridiculously so. I’ve actually yet to meet a baby [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]! With all the talk the name gets, it doesn’t seem to have legs in my area.
The repeated -n ending of [name_u]Cameron[/name_u] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] isn’t ideal and I think [name_u]Cameron[/name_u] sounds a little masculine with [name_u]Jean[/name_u].
[name_u]Blaire[/name_u] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] sounds a little bit like “blue jeans” to me. Sorry!
I have to agree with pp that [name_u]Cameron[/name_u] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] does sound a bit masculine.
I think only you can decide about [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. I hate to see people give up on their true favorite name, but I do understand about the popularity as well. I always try to think it through this way: if someday you are at a park and you hear someone else call their [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], will you have a twinge of angst that you don’t have a [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] of your own? Or will you feel relief that your daughter doesn’t share the same name? [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] does rank at #11 on the charts, but that represents 9,232 girls given the name in 2013. The #1 name saw over 21,000 recipients. And compared to the “[name_f]Jennifer[/name_f]” boom of the Seventies? In 1979, there were 56,716 girls named [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f]. Compared to 1979, the name that got about 9,200 recipients was [name_u]Julie[/name_u] at #29. You can see that popularity numbers are much different than they were for the last generation – even the “popular” names aren’t really THAT popular when you compare.
