Hi ladies! My husband and I are pregnant with our 3rd baby. We have two boys and this is a girl! My husband is French and I am American (from the south) so we keep in mind how the name will sound in both languages. We went more french with our two boys, Augustin and Bastien, but have been keeping a running list on girl names for years. I am 32 weeks and we have managed to narrow it down quite a bit. I have been exploring double names because I love them and they’re more southern. Anyway, here are the top choices. Please let me know your suggestions
-Lucie Kate
-Sophie Kate
-Emma Kate
-Margaux/Margot
If we don’t do a double name, we would use Lucie, Sophie, or Emma then use Kate as the middle name.
All of these options are very sweet but as a double barrel I think [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is my favorite, followed by [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f].
I loooove [name_f]Margaux[/name_f] and have a real soft spot for the dramatic X spelling. Your boys’ names feel really distinguished to me and [name_f]Margaux[/name_f] definitely gives me that cool, refined, Euro chic vibe.
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite double name would be [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f], but I’m definitely Team [name_f]Margaux[/name_f]!
Here are some ideas that I think marry your [name_u]French[/name_u] and [name_u]Southern[/name_u] American backgrounds…
Margaux/Margot is perfection with your son’s fantastic names! It’s one of my favourite names (as is Bastien) and I think stylistically it’s brilliant with Augustin and Bastien, much more so than your other choices (in my opinion).
Some others I like with your kids’ names:
Matilda/Mathilde
Beatrix
Clementine
Eloise
Clara
Giselle
Flora
Emmeline
Noa
Paloma
Etta

Iris
Tallulah ( I feel this one taps into your southern roots)

Thea
Violette
Zelda
Coraline

Claudia
Elise
Harriet
Ines
Lucienne
Sylvie
I think [name_f]Margaux[/name_f] is absolutely perfect with [name_m]Augustin[/name_m] and [name_m]Bastien[/name_m]! [name_f]Margaux[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is stunning. That gets my vote for sure!
[name_f]Margaux[/name_f] is perfect, I think. [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] or [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is beautiful. I think you have the best names already.
Thanks so much for the input! After much debate, we have landed on a name with two middle names (one to honor my grandmother and one to honor my husband’s mother)
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Rosine[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f]! She should arrive anytime now
