[name_u]Baby[/name_u] girl names inspired by [name_m]Elvis[/name_m] [name_u]Presley[/name_u]? [name_f]My[/name_f] dad loves [name_m]Elvis[/name_m] music and I wanted to see if I could find name I like that’s inspired by [name_m]Elvis[/name_m] and his music as a little tribute to my dad.
[name_u]Presley[/name_u] is the most obvious one! Also [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
The most obvious ones I think are [name_u]Presley[/name_u], [name_f]Elvi[/name_f] (or another spelling) and [name_f]Elva[/name_f]! He doesn’t really have any songs with names in them so that makes it harder but these might work?
[name_u]Presley[/name_u]
[name_f]Elvi[/name_f]
[name_f]Elva[/name_f]
[name_f]Ella[/name_f]
[name_u]Erin[/name_u] (his middle name is Aaron)
[name_u]Memphis[/name_u] (where he was partly raised)
[name_u]Tennessee[/name_u] (same as above)
i’m thinking you could spin off graceland !! if graceland is too out there or grace too distant, maybe gracelyn?
I do think [name_u]Presley[/name_u] is cute! And [name_f]Elvie[/name_f] or [name_f]Elva[/name_f]!
Maybe…
[name_u]Blue[/name_u] (as in, [name_m]Moody[/name_m] [name_u]Blue[/name_u] and [name_u]Blue[/name_u] [name_m]Suede[/name_m] Shoes etc)
[name_u]Nova[/name_u] (Bossa [name_u]Nova[/name_u] Baby)
[name_u]Vega[/name_u] (Do the [name_u]Vega[/name_u] - also, I feel like [name_m]Elvis[/name_m] is associated with Vegas?)
[name_f]Priscilla[/name_f] (his wife)
Lisa-Marie (his daughter)
[name_u]Memphis[/name_u] (where he lived for most of his life and died)
[name_u]Blue[/name_u] (…suede shoes)
[name_f]Dixie[/name_f] (…land rock)
[name_u]Jessie[/name_u] (his brother)
[name_f]Gladys[/name_f] (his mom)
[name_f]Minnie[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] his (grandma)
[name_f]Octavia[/name_f] (his maternal grandma)
[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.
I love the idea of honoring your dad this way. I have an idea of naming a son after a baseball player to honor my dad & his love of baseball.
There are a lot of songs with women’s names in the title.
[name_f]My[/name_f] favorites:
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]
[name_f]Mary[/name_f]
[name_u]Marie[/name_u]
[name_f]Sally[/name_f]
Kathleen-I like the nn [name_u]Kit[/name_u]
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
Other ideas:
[name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_u]Lou[/name_u]
[name_f]Susan[/name_f]
[name_f]Annie[/name_f]
[name_f]Judy[/name_f]
[name_f]Cindy[/name_f]
[name_u]Nova[/name_u]
[name_u]Frankie[/name_u]
Maguerita
[name_f]Angeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Leilani[/name_f]
[name_f]Nancy[/name_f]
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.
[name_u]Presley[/name_u]
[name_u]Lisa[/name_u] (his daughter)
[name_u]Jessie[/name_u] (his stillborn twin brother)
[name_f]Gladys[/name_f] (his mother)
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Priscilla[/name_f] (his wife)
[name_u]Memphis[/name_u]
[name_u]Presley[/name_u]! I love the name for both genders, and it’s such a sweet honor name!
Also:
[name_u]Blue[/name_u]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_u]Memphis[/name_u]
[name_f]Lisette[/name_f]
[name_u]Lisa[/name_u]
[name_u]Marie[/name_u]
[name_u]Jazzy[/name_u]
I definitely think [name_u]Presley[/name_u] is the one!
I also thought if [name_f]Elva[/name_f] and like the suggestions of [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Gracelyn[/name_f] / [name_f]Graceland[/name_f].
Perhaps rearranging the letters in “Elvis” to make a name, or using a name that contains all the letters in “Elvis” would be cool. For example, [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] (contains E, L, V, I, and S—and even a Y that happens to be in “Presley”).
[name_f]Elvira[/name_f] was my first thought.
[name_f]Graceland[/name_f]
[name_u]Riley[/name_u] Keough named her daughter [name_u]Tupelo[/name_u] after her grandfather’s birth place (city).
Otherwise:
[name_u]Presley[/name_u]
[name_f]Veronica[/name_f] (similar to his Dad’s name)
[name_u]Jessie[/name_u] (similar to twin, though maybe too morbid)
[name_f]Gladys[/name_f] (his mother)
[name_f]Priscilla[/name_f]
[name_f]Graceland[/name_f] / [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_u]Memphis[/name_u]
[name_u]Tennessee[/name_u]
[name_u]Blue[/name_u]
[name_u]Erin[/name_u] (like [name_m]Aaron[/name_m], his middle name)
Sylvie/Silvie/Elvira (similar letters)
[name_f]Meadow[/name_f] (Presley means priest’s meadow)
There are also dozens of girl names in his songs and movies (or boys names you could convert) to mine from.
Bit of a stretch but [name_f]Mavis[/name_f] rhymes. Could also go for an [name_f]El[/name_f]- first with [name_f]Mavis[/name_f] in the middle so you get El-_________-vis.
