We are expecting our first baby this [name_u]December[/name_u]. So excited! Its a GIRL. We have put together our name list and are starting to feel pressure to choose a name to call her now that she is getting bigger and closer to her due date. The problem is we like so many pretty names that it is difficult to choose just one… this took us forever to narrow down to this many so far. We love nature and outdoorsy names that are not too out there and have some meaning to us. We have already taken her backpacking in the Sequoias as her first adventure outing. I would love any thoughts and ideas that you all have to share with us as experienced namers. I have been taking this naming responsibility rather seriously as I don’t want her to dislike her name as she grows up.

I would suggest writing down all of the potential names and hanging it somewhere in your home that you would see it often. Within a few days you’ll probably notice one starts jumping out at you more after seeing/reading/saying them all often.

Like a previous poster mentioned, what about [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_u]Sierra[/name_u]? I am always in support of using a family name, as it means so much to the family and the child being named. But do you really love the name [name_f]Violet[/name_f]?
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] is my favorite name on your list. It’s just so charming, sweet, and classic. [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is beautiful. While [name_f]Clara[/name_f] does sound a bit like your name, it sounds different enough. I love when a mother & daughter share a first name initial.

I feel like [name_u]Everly[/name_u] and [name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] are very common and you might run into the problem of everyone is having the same name
But all the other ones are really unique and love the meanings you have. Overall I love [name_u]Sierra[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_u]Sierra[/name_u] [name_f]Meadow[/name_f] but how about [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]

I find [name_f]Clara[/name_f] quite distinct sounding from [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]. [name_u]Sierra[/name_u] sounds too similar to me though and could be confusing.
