My maiden is Peters and I was wondering what you all though about using it as a first name for a girl? Thanks in advance!
Wrong section I think, try posting in the Girl [name_u]Baby[/name_u] Names forum and you might get more responses.
I don’t know about Peters as a name in general for anyone unless it’s a surname. It seems odd because it’s like a plural of the existing name [name_m]Peter[/name_m]. [name_m]How[/name_m] about a feminine form of [name_m]Peter[/name_m] like [name_f]Petra[/name_f], [name_f]Pietra[/name_f] or [name_f]Pierina[/name_f]?
I think it’s a really bad first name for a girl, sorry. She would get teased as [name_m]Peter[/name_m] is a common boy name, everybody would assume she is a boy. Why not as a middle name? Why not [name_u]Peyton[/name_u]?
I think it depends on what the baby’s surname would be. If people can use [name_u]Collins[/name_u] and [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] as first names, I don’t see why you couldn’t use Peters.
I think it would be best to balance it with a very feminine middle name. Peters [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] or Peters [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], something like that.
I think [name_m]Pete[/name_m] would be a cute nickname.
I wouldn’t use it myself. I know a girl called [name_f]Peta[/name_f] - that could be a good alternative?
I love it for her middle name but not her first.
