I like both [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is nice, but I don’t like that its ending is the same as [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]'s beginning. [name_f]HazEL[/name_f] [name_f]ELizabeth[/name_f].
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is my favorite.
“[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is nice, but I don’t like that its ending is the same as [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]'s beginning. [name_f]HazEL[/name_f] [name_f]ELizabeth[/name_f].”
I agree and have thought the same, but [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is a family name and can’t change.
I think it would bother me more if our last name started with [name_f]EL[/name_f], but I feel like we don’t really say our full names very often and I really love [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] Thanks for the feedback!
[name_m]Even[/name_m] though [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] is one of my favourites, I still voted for [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], which flows better in my ears
The Top Two
1 [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
2 [name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
The Bottom Two
3 [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
4 [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]My[/name_f] 34 year old cousins name is [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], she normally just goes by [name_f]Beth[/name_f] though.
Interesting… So she doesn’t like being [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] at 34? I think I like [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Vera[/name_f] best because they age well and are also pretty for a young girl. Being a [name_u]Jamie[/name_u], I feel like my name won’t age well as I get older. I think it’s the y/ie sound at the end.
I like [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] the most
At first i wasn’t going to vote for [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] because of the -el/[name_f]El[/name_f]-, but I love [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and I actually think it sounds fine! I also voted for [name_f]Vera[/name_f].
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_f]Vera[/name_f] are both on my personal names list. I love them both and think they flow wonderfully with [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. If I had to pick one it would probably be [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].
Thank you! I really love all of our girl names. It will be hard to choose when the time comes.
Although I listed it separately, I was thinking if we went with [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] we could use [name_f]Vera[/name_f] as a nickname. Or [name_f]Neve[/name_f] or [name_f]Gwen[/name_f]. I like names with lots of nickname options
I think [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is SO cute for a little girl and a young woman, but I’m not sure how well it would fit say a 40 year old woman - which I try to consider with all of my names. I think it’s the y/ie sound at the end that makes it too cutesy and young sounding to me. I’m a [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] so I can relate.
I truly think that [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is the most Majestic name I have heard. However; I feel for this child that would have to be madly filling in the circles of her full name during Standardize testing time!
It’s hard to choose! They are all such lovely names. I ended up picking [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] because I see it as a more versatile name, due to the nicknames of [name_f]Vera[/name_f] and [name_f]Gwen[/name_f]. Second would be [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], probably. I don’t think it’s too cutesy even with the y ending, because [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is just [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] whereas a name like [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] is a cute-ified [name_u]James[/name_u]. If that makes any sense.
Haha thank you. I did think of that. Our last name isn’t quite short and sweet either!
I love [name_f]Vera[/name_f]
In order of preference:
[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] - [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] is gorgeous and not used very often. Not the best flow, but I like it. [name_f]Vera[/name_f] is a very sweet nickname for it.
[name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] - Very unexpected! [name_f]Vera[/name_f] isn’t my favorite name, but I really like it with [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] - I find [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] a bit cutesy.
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] - [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite first name, but I’m not a fan of the el/[name_f]El[/name_f].
I voted [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], it just flows better [name_f]IMO[/name_f]
Thanks. I love your kids’ names! They go so well together.
I voted for [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], with [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] a close second. [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] is a bit too much for me, and [name_f]Vera[/name_f] is fine but not my style.
I wouldn’t be too bothered by the [name_f]HazEL[/name_f] [name_f]ELizabeth[/name_f] thing; like you said, middles aren’t said aloud as often as a first and last.
