Baby girl name

[name_m]Just[/name_m] wondering what some thoughts were on the name we have picked out for baby girl # 2

[name_f]Saylor[/name_f] MaešŸ’•

pronouncer SAY-ler

[name_f]Saylor[/name_f] means tiny dancer

[name_f]Mae[/name_f] means pearl which is the birthstone of my grandma in heaven.

We adore the name, but I know not everyone has the same taste just curious what some options are.

Thank you !

Itā€™s not my favourite ā€“ Iā€™m aware that [name_f]Saylor[/name_f] has roots as a surname, but I feel like 99% of people wonā€™t be aware of that, and to me it just looks like a misspelling of ā€œsailorā€. I love [name_f]Mae[/name_f] though, itā€™s such a sweet middle name and the 2 names flow well together!

[name_f]Saylor[/name_f] is a lovely name - i like the sound and surnamey feel. Never heard the ā€œtiny dancerā€ meaning for it though - only sailor, tailor and ropemaker - intrigued to know where the dancer meaning originates from, if you know?

[name_f]Mae[/name_f] is sweet and simple and pleasing. [name_f]Saylor[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] has a nice ring to it!

I really like the name [name_f]Saylor[/name_f]! Itā€™s so warm, tailored and a tad preppy in the best way!

Iā€™m generally not a big [name_f]Mae[/name_f] fan. I donā€™t love the look of the name (prefer May) and it feels a bit 1920s stylised. [name_f]My[/name_f] bouncy brain also goes to ā€œsail awayā€ and ā€œsalamiā€ with [name_f]Saylor[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]. But thatā€™s not very likely, and I think with the honour to your grandmother, itā€™s a lovely (and again tailored and sweet) choice. [name_f]Saylor[/name_f] and [name_f]Mae[/name_f] suit each other in terms of spelling and vibe.

Other options (where [name_f]Saylor[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] might be too wordy):

[name_f]Saylor[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]
[name_f]Saylor[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]
[name_f]Saylor[/name_f] [name_f]Gretel[/name_f]
[name_f]Saylor[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f]
[name_f]Saylor[/name_f] [name_m]Pearlie[/name_m]
[name_f]Saylor[/name_f] [name_f]Peggy[/name_f]
[name_f]Saylor[/name_f] [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f]
[name_f]Saylor[/name_f] [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]
[name_f]Saylor[/name_f] [name_f]June[/name_f]

I live a few of these - but I donā€™t think you should change what your heart is set on!

Itā€™s really cute. Might be misspelled a bit but should be pretty easy for people to catch on to.

[name_f]Saylor[/name_f] also comes from the [name_m]French[/name_m] word sailleor , meaning ā€œdancerā€ or ā€œacrobat.ā€
