I’m 34 weeks pregnant so still a little time to go yet before making any final decisions on names but would love your input!
We have a foreign last name so looking for a name which isn’t too English, but my husband and I can not agree! The only names we both like seem to be the most popular names at the moment which I don’t particularly want.
Here’s what we have so far:
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] (after his mum but [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is very popular at the moment and it will probably get pronounced the same)
[name_f]Sofia[/name_f]
[name_f]Eloisa[/name_f] (he hates this so I think it’s a no go
[name_f]Chiara[/name_f]
[name_f]Serena[/name_f]
[name_f]Elena[/name_f]
[name_f]Elysia[/name_f]
Any thoughts or additional names would be great. Middle name is probably going to be [name_f]Rose[/name_f] I know again it’s pretty popular

[name_f]Elena[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] this name too. I think it sounds very sophisticated.

I think [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a very pretty middle or first name. It is not used too much as a first name so maybe you could consider that.
I really like [name_f]Serena[/name_f], [name_f]Elysia[/name_f], [name_f]Elena[/name_f] and [name_f]Emilia[/name_f]. But [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] is really popular, which would make me hesitate a bit… Why not use [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]/[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] as a 2nd name…?
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f], [name_f]Sofia[/name_f], and [name_f]Eloisa[/name_f] are my favourites, tough I think [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] would be nicer than [name_f]Eloisa[/name_f]

[name_f]Elena[/name_f] is my favourite from your list (I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the spelling [name_f]Elaina[/name_f] because it takes the guess-work out of pronunciation for me). I think it meets all of your criteria: exotic (very European), not very popular, and goes well with your middle name. [name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is lovely, but I also liked the suggestion of a double middle: [name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] really jumped out at me. If the double-a ending puts you off, how about [name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Emilia[/name_f]?

I’m swaying towards [name_f]Elena[/name_f] and [name_f]Serena[/name_f] right now but only problem is with [name_f]Serena[/name_f] how would you pronounce it. I like the Italian version (ser ay na) not (ser ee na) so [name_f]Elena[/name_f] and [name_f]Serena[/name_f] sound very similar
I’ve only heard [name_f]Serena[/name_f] pronounced Ser-ee-na but it would depend on where you live of which pronunciation people would gravitate to. I love [name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] or [name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] for you.
I like [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] I just can’t find a middle name that I like to go with it as I don’t think [name_f]Rose[/name_f] goes aswell with [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]
