[name_f]My[/name_f] husband, [name_m]Abe[/name_m] and I met in [name_u]Denver[/name_u], CO in 2008, we went back 3 years ago and while there, he proposed. [name_u]Denver[/name_u] has officially become “our place” and [name_m]Abe[/name_m] is very sentimental so he has always suggested we name our first born [name_u]Denver[/name_u]. I loved the idea of a baby boy named “[name_u]Denver[/name_u] [name_u]Channing[/name_u]” ([name_u]Channing[/name_u] is a male family name) but guess what… We’re having a girl lol! [name_m]Abe[/name_m] is still pushing [name_u]Denver[/name_u] and I’ve actually really warmed up to it for a girl but choosing a middle name is so frustrating that I’m losing interest altogether.
Our last name is a 2 syllable “Mc” name, any middle name suggestions will be greatly appreciated
[name_m]Hi[/name_m] [name_u]Addison[/name_u]!
Congrats on your pregnancy! [name_u]Denver[/name_u] is pretty cool for a boy… or a girl. Especially since the name has special meaning to you and your husband. Strong choice!
I would suggest something extra feminine and even frilly for the middle name, to complement the strong and unisex [name_u]Denver[/name_u]. That way it’s clear she’s a girl. Something with 3+ syllables and not ending in R should work.
I’m not sure of your style… do you like any of these? If so, please respond with a selection, and we can help you out with further suggestions.
[name_u]Channing[/name_u] can work for a girl, but I’d go for a purely feminine middle for baby girl [name_u]Denver[/name_u], and save [name_u]Channing[/name_u] for a future child, boy or girl.
Thank you, mulme944! I really like your suggestions… [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] & [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] (mad-uh-lyn), especially and I agree, 3+ syllables is the way to go!
Have you considered using [name_u]Denver[/name_u] as a middle name? It feels a little bit like a trendy boys’ name, but tough for a little girl. As a middle name, though, it’s super cool!
I love [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] [name_u]Denver[/name_u] or [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] [name_u]Denver[/name_u].
[name_f]My[/name_f] thoughts as well. Is [name_u]Denver[/name_u] really a name you will want to call your daughter long term? Putting it in the middle honors the city, but doesn’t limit the wonderful names that could be used.
@bee49, Thank you sooo much! I love-love-love [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] & [name_f]Liliana[/name_f] with [name_u]Denver[/name_u]!!
I’ve always loved [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] as a middle name too but that’s my husband’s ex-girlfriend’s name so I had to let that one go lol:)
Thanks again.
[name_u]Denver[/name_u] sounds unusually good as a first or middle name for a girl. It has a lovely sound and ages well so you should definitely use it in my opinion. Plus, your story behind using the name is wonderfully sweet
I didnt read all the replies, so sorry if thesewas mentioned, but first ones that came to my mind were [name_u]Denver[/name_u] [name_u]Julie[/name_u]. [name_u]Denver[/name_u] [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] and [name_u]Denver[/name_u] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f].
