[name_u]Sloane[/name_u]: This sounds edgy, but I don’t think it sounds all that feminine or pretty. [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] (nn ‘[name_f]Elle[/name_f]’): I like [name_f]Elle[/name_f] as a nn, but I don’t like masculine names on girls. [name_f]Theresa[/name_f]/[name_f]Therese[/name_f] (nn ‘[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]’): I love [name_f]Therese[/name_f]! [name_f]Theresa[/name_f] is cute, but very obviously dated; I feel like [name_f]Therese[/name_f] livens a classic name up a bit. Not big on the nn [name_f]Tessa[/name_f], but I don’t hate it. [name_f]Nora/name_f: I prefer the [name_f]Nora[/name_f] spelling, and I think this name is gorgeous. It sounds elegant and intelligent. [name_u]London[/name_u]: I tend to think place names are a little cheesy, especially if the parents have never been to the place themselves. [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] (nn ‘[name_f]Pippa[/name_f]’): I like [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] alright. I’ve never been very fond of [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] though. Not sure why.
Thanks for your feedback! I agree about place names being a bit cheesy, plus [name_u]London[/name_u] is getting pretty popular. However my husband and I have both been to [name_u]London[/name_u], love the city, and is the reason we thought of the name originally I just can’t get on board with it. It’s his favorite.
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u]- A very strong, different name but love the sound of it
[name_u]Elliot[/name_u] - I actually think this name would work as a girls name and the nickname [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] is so cute although its popular very few [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]'s full name would be [name_u]Elliot[/name_u].
[name_f]Theresa[/name_f]/[name_f]Therese[/name_f] - I am not a fan of [name_f]Theresa[/name_f] but [name_u]Love[/name_u] the nm [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Norah[/name_f]- Personally I dont like this name but I see the appeal
[name_u]London[/name_u]-This name is getting popular
[name_f]Philippa[/name_f]- [name_u]Love[/name_u] the nm [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] quirky but also sophisticated.
Yes i like [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] too, not sure where you are but first time i heard it was [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] form Entourage and she is gorgeous. Also [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] Stephens US tennis player.
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] - I’m okay on this.
[name_u]Elliott[/name_u] (nn ‘[name_f]Elle[/name_f]’) - [name_f]Elle[/name_f] is a great name, but not a fan of [name_u]Elliott[/name_u], too masculine.
[name_f]Theresa[/name_f]/[name_f]Therese[/name_f] (nn ‘[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]’) - [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] is adorable! I’d choose [name_f]Therese[/name_f] over [name_f]Theresa[/name_f] (or I would spell it as [name_f]Teresa[/name_f]) as it feels too dated. [name_f]Teresa[/name_f] is more spunky!
[name_f]Nora/name_f - [name_f]Nora[/name_f] > [name_f]Norah[/name_f]. The h seems redundant and makes the name clunky.
[name_u]London[/name_u] - Meh. Great beautiful place but not a fan of country/place names.
[name_f]Philippa[/name_f] (nn ‘[name_f]Pippa[/name_f]’) - ‘old lady’ name for me [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] is a nice alternative.
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] – not my style
[name_u]Elliott[/name_u] (nn ‘[name_f]Elle[/name_f]’) – adorable without the nickname, cute with the nickname
[name_f]Theresa[/name_f]/[name_f]Therese[/name_f] (nn ‘[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]’) – I have just begun thinking about the possibilities of [name_f]Therese[/name_f]. It’s neat. I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]!
[name_f]Nora/name_f – So sweet
[name_u]London[/name_u] – not my style
[name_f]Philippa[/name_f] (nn ‘[name_f]Pippa[/name_f]’) – it’s cute but doesn’t wow me
My vote is for [name_u]Sloane[/name_u]!!! But I am biased because that is my name I receive regular compliments on my name and I love it as an adult because it is a strong name. I am 32 so before Entourage I got a lot of [name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_m]Bueller[/name_m] [name_u]Day[/name_u] Off comments!
My favorites on your list are [name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_f]Philippa[/name_f]. I think the nn [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] is adorable. [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] and [name_f]Theresa[/name_f]/[name_f]Therese[/name_f] are both nice as well, but they feel a little plain next to [name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_f]Philippa[/name_f]. I’m not a fan of [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] or [name_u]London[/name_u].
I really like [name_u]Sloane[/name_u], [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] & [name_u]London[/name_u].
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] has been a favorite of mine for a while. It is edgy but still feminine and strong.
[name_u]Elliott[/name_u] is one of my favorite unisex names for a girl. I have a friend who plans on using this if she has a girl as well (naming her after a family member).
[name_u]London[/name_u] is one of my favorite place names. It’s classic, sophisticated and beautiful. Another place name I love is [name_f]Ireland[/name_f].
I don’t mind [name_f]Nora[/name_f], I just prefer the spelling [name_f]Norah[/name_f]. It’s a little plain for my taste but I do like it.
Personally not a fan of [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] & [name_f]Theresa[/name_f]/[name_f]Therese[/name_f].
I like [name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] the best. [name_f]Theresa[/name_f] sounds dated to me, but I really like [name_f]Tessa[/name_f].
I like [name_f]Nora[/name_f], [name_f]Theresa[/name_f], and [name_f]Philippa[/name_f].
Rather than [name_u]London[/name_u], what about something that reminds you of [name_u]London[/name_u]? Also, you could put it in the middle position, like [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]London[/name_u]?
[name_f]Susan[/name_f]- Thanks for those thoughts! Actually “[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] Square” is in central [name_u]London[/name_u], which is part of the inspiration for the name [name_u]Sloane[/name_u]. We’ll see where we end up… [name_u]London[/name_u] might become a middle name!
