Baby Girl we are gettin' there!

Okay so I took a lot of the suggestions in my last post into consideration and I have a few more questions!

[name]Eleni[/name] - can I get the nn [name]Ellie[/name] out of this? my SO really likes it but I am not 100% sold I prefer [name]Ellinor[/name]
[name]Waverly[/name] - I just keep coming back to this! she would be [name]Waverly[/name] [name]Wells[/name] and I do love the alliteration
[name]Annabel[/name] - with the last name [name]Wells[/name] I feel like the [name]EL[/name] sound is too prominent ([name]AnnabEL[/name] [name]WELLs[/name]) and I know she will have a mn but in everyday life it’ll just be the first and last name with the [name]EL[/name] sound!)

These are the top three contenders!

I think you could call her [name]Ellie[/name] as a nn. It’s not far stretched at all.
[name]Waverly[/name] [name]Wells[/name] is super cute! While it’s nms personally, I think it’s adorable.
[name]Annabel[/name] [name]Wells[/name] doesn’t sound bad, I see the concern but I think you might be over thinking that one.

Good luck!

[name]Eleni[/name] – [name]LOVE[/name] this name! Yes, I think you could definitely get [name]Ellie[/name] out of this. [name]Just[/name] curious, how are you pronouncing it?
[name]Waverly[/name] – The alliteration is nice! This name is appealing.
[name]Annabel[/name] – I agree about this being too much with the last name.

You’ve got great options and any one of them would be great!

I’ve been saying it like [name]El[/name]-ay-nee. I think the other pronounciation is [name]El[/name]-eh-nee?

Neat, the [name]El[/name]-ay-nee pronunciation is the one I prefer.

[name]Waverly[/name] [name]Wells[/name] is the standout. [name]Love[/name] it!

Another vote for [name]Waverly[/name] [name]Wells[/name]. It just stands out as memorable and peppy.

[name]Waverly[/name] [name]Wells[/name] by a long shot.

The other two ([name]Eleni[/name] and [name]Annabel[/name]) [name]BOTH[/name] have that double [name]EL[/name] sound that really bothers me for some reason. [name]Elinor[/name] does too unfortunately. [name]Elinor[/name] or [name]Eleni[/name] [name]Wells[/name] is better slightly than [name]Annabel[/name] [name]Wells[/name] (too close with the repeated sound) but [name]Waverly[/name] is the standout.

GL!

I definitely think you can get [name]Ellie[/name] from [name]Eleni[/name] - and actually I think a lot of people would lean towards that automatically.

Obviously it’s your choice and I’m merely stating the thought that popped into my head but [name]Waverly[/name] [name]Wells[/name] to me sounds like a place. Like, “Let’s meet up at [name]Waverly[/name] [name]Wells[/name] and go for a stroll”. I also think it seems stylistically different from your other two choices. That doesn’t really matter, but some people like to think in terms of future siblings as well. If you don’t care about different styles in the same sibset than obviously ignore that point.

I think [name]Annabel[/name] [name]Wells[/name] is fine. When I see it there’s a slightly different emphasis on the “el” sound in each name so it doesn’t get that sing-songy aspect that most people dislike.

My favorite of the bunch is [name]Eleni[/name] [name]Wells[/name]!

I’ll jump on the majority band wagon and say that I like [name]Waverly[/name]. I love the name on its own and [name]Waverly[/name] [name]Wells[/name] sounds like a character in a book, you know? I think that’s cool. It’s sounds better than some alliterations that I’ve heard.

I think that [name]Ellie[/name] works as a nickname for any name that begins with [name]El[/name]- so I think it’s just fine for [name]Eleni[/name]. I’m with you though in that I prefer [name]Ellinor[/name].

[name]Waverly[/name] [name]Wells[/name] is very cute. [name]Love[/name] the alliteration!

I agree with you that the rhymey flow of [name]Annabell[/name] [name]Wells[/name] is somewhat off putting. I think both [name]Eleni[/name] and [name]Waverly[/name] are better choices.

I don’t get a place name vibe from [name]Waverly[/name] [name]Wells[/name]. If you live in a rural area, maybe…but I wouldn’t worry about it.

I [name]LOVE[/name] the alliteration and rhythm of the name. It’s just fun to say. She’ll love to say her name, her friends will love to say her name. As Swistle says, “I feel like pressuring you to use the name!”

To me, it’s the clear standout. [name]Eleni[/name] works with [name]Wells[/name], (and I kind of like the repeated “el” syllable there because the pronunciation emphasis isn’t on it) but if you’re planning on calling her [name]Ellie[/name], [name]Ellie[/name] [name]Wells[/name] is pretty rhyme-y. [name]Annabel[/name] [name]Wells[/name] doesn’t work to me either–I don’t think you’re overthinking that.

[name]Waverly[/name] [name]Wells[/name] is adoreable! (Almost exactly what my baby’s name will be if I let my boyfriend win the name war… and if it’s a girl)

I love [name]Waverly[/name] [name]Wells[/name]

agree with all of this. I love [name]Waverly[/name] the most, anyway, but hearing your surname further sealed the deal for me
