Baby girl! Which name is best

[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! Which name is best for my baby girl! Name options are [name_f]Solveig[/name_f] [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] (Soul-Vay)
Irdessa [name_u]Piper[/name_u] and [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] [name_u]Joss[/name_u]! [name_m]Say[/name_m] which one is your favorite and why! Suggestions are welcome! Thanks, [name_f]Bronwyn[/name_f] ”

[name_f]Romilly[/name_f] [name_u]Joss[/name_u] is my favorite from your list-- [name_f]Solveig[/name_f] is going to hard for most people to pronounce and spell and I don’t like the -IRD start to Irdessa. [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] [name_f]Tess[/name_f] would a nice combo too.

[name_f]Romilly[/name_f] [name_u]Joss[/name_u] would also be my favorite, unusual, different, yet still easy to pronounce and spell. I agree with pp that [name_f]Solveig[/name_f] may cause some headaches spelling and pronunciation wise.

[name_f]Romilly[/name_f] [name_u]Piper[/name_u] would be sweet yet spunky too.

I love [name_f]Solveig[/name_f] [name_u]Darcy[/name_u]! Both names have a great old European feel, they flow well together, and the more commonness of [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] balances less known [name_f]Solveig[/name_f]. I also think [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] [name_u]Piper[/name_u] would be a good sister.

Wow!! [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] [name_u]Joss[/name_u] is so, so pretty! [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] is the perfect fits-in/stands-out name, and [name_u]Joss[/name_u] is so spunky and unexpected as a middle name. It’s perfect. And [name_u]Romy[/name_u] is the cutest nickname ever.

[name_f]Solveig[/name_f] [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] is an absolutely stunning name! [name_f]Solveig[/name_f] has so much heft and beauty, but it’s also bright because of its meaning, and [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] is just a joy. Quick recommendation: Would you consider the Solvei spelling? It’s pronounced the same, is just as authentically Scandinavian, and is more phonetic so as to cause less confusion. Idessa and [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] also made me think of [name_f]Iona[/name_f] and Illaria, two of my favorite names ever.

[name_f]Romilly[/name_f] [name_u]Joss[/name_u] gets my vote, for usability sake. I like the earlier suggestion of [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] [name_f]Tess[/name_f], and will add [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] [name_u]Jess[/name_u], [name_m]Frey[/name_m], [name_f]Lark[/name_f], and [name_u]Lane[/name_u].

However, [name_f]Solveig[/name_f] is actually my favorite! I love the way it sounds, but I think the spelling & pronunciation will be difficult for others, at least in [name_u]America[/name_u]. [name_f]Solveig[/name_f] [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] is lovely, though I think I prefer [name_f]Solveig[/name_f] [name_u]Piper[/name_u]. I also really like the similar sounding Sovay (from the English folk song), as well as [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f].

The Ir- beginning of Irdessa trips me up. I want to say Idressa because it reminds of [name_f]Edris[/name_f]/[name_m]Idris[/name_m]/Idrissa. Similar, but more approachable names might be [name_f]Iris[/name_f] or [name_f]Della[/name_f]. I’ve also seen the name Tress in a book, and like it quite a bit. [name_f]Kate[/name_f] and [name_u]Wren[/name_u] are some mn suggestions I have for Irdessa.

I like [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] [name_u]Joss[/name_u] the best

[name_f]Romilly[/name_f] [name_u]Joss[/name_u]. I love your creativity, but it might get annoying for you daughter to always have to explain her name or to have to correct strange/ugly mispronunciations with the other two. [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] has that beautiful balance of sounding very original, but is easy to pronounce and approachable.

Ahhh Solvei might be more friendly for the American side of the family. Thanks!

I do like [name_u]Piper[/name_u] with [name_f]Romilly[/name_f]!
