Baby Girl's name.

What do you guys think of the name [name_f]Althea[/name_f] [name_f]Nola[/name_f]? Usually, I think names that have the same ending sounds don’t flow well, but with this name, I think it works. Hubby loves it! Thanks for the input!

[name_f]Althea[/name_f] [name_f]Nola[/name_f] is pretty! I like both names together, but I don’t love the combination… [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Althea[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f]? But if you both love it, go for it!

I think it works. I love [name_f]Althea[/name_f]…such a nice nice, and nn option of [name_f]Thea[/name_f].

Kind of depends on the last name in terms of flow. If you don’t want to disclose that here, that’s totally fine. I kind of agree that, on their own, [name_f]Althea[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] sounds slightly better to my ear than [name_f]Althea[/name_f] [name_f]Nola[/name_f]-- but that’s in the absence of a last name. [name_m]Both[/name_m] names are gorgeous though.

[name_f]Althea[/name_f] is beautiful, simple and dignified. [name_f]Nola[/name_f] makes me think of canola.

Agreeing with the suggestion of [name_f]Althea[/name_f] Noël (this is one name where I like the masculine form for girls) or [name_f]Althea[/name_f] Noèle. Either way, I prefer the [name_m]French[/name_m] spellings.

[name_f]Althea[/name_f] [name_f]Noemi[/name_f]

OR…

[name_f]Althea[/name_f] [name_f]Nolwenn[/name_f] I like this a lot. It’s a [name_m]French[/name_m] saint’s name. Sounds almost Tolkien-ish to me.

I really like it! Aside from the very last sound/letter the ending sounds of [name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Nola[/name_f] aren’t really that matchy, and they have different numbers of syllables, as long as your last name doesn’t start or end with that a sound.

We actually already have [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] paired with another name! We have a short list of our top girl’s and boy’s names. I think [name_f]Nola[/name_f] is probably staying, hubby adores it! I just wanted to make sure the flow of it wasn’t horrible! And yes, if we go with [name_f]Althea[/name_f], her nn would be [name_f]Thea[/name_f]! I love it! Thanks for the input guys!

@littlewren Thank you so much! Our last name ends with an -on sound and doesn’t start with the -ah sound!
