Well… I really like [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Scarlett[/name] but I voted [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Miranda[/name]. I think [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Miranda[/name] has a really nice flow to it. When you also consider that [name]Ivy[/name] is a plant and [name]Scarlett[/name] a color… that seemed like a bit much. So [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Miranda[/name] won by a nose. The other ones did not appeal to me at all.
Thanks Wintersage! Appreciate your feedback. If you could suggest any other pretty names that would suit as a MN for [name]Ivy[/name] please let me know
From a sound and flow perspective, I think the 3 syllable [name]Miranda[/name] works best. But each of the middle names puts a different spin on the name [name]Ivy[/name]… I will use the [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name] series as an example of what I mean.
[name]Miranda[/name] makes [name]Ivy[/name] feel more classic, feminine, and traditional. I think of [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Miranda[/name] as a girly-girl. This name conjures the image of [name]Fleur[/name] Delacour.
[name]Scarlett[/name] makes [name]Ivy[/name] “feel” more trendy but also more spunky. I see a popular girl, athletic girl- she is the [name]Ginny[/name] Weasley of the crowd.
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Lola[/name] “feels” edgy to me. I see a little rebel here , the girl who defies authority when she can. I actually see this girl as having the personality of [name]Fred[/name] & [name]George[/name] Weasley.
ivy [name]Lulu[/name] “feels” kind of ditzy to me - the name makes me think of [name]Luna[/name] Lovegood.
Thank you Paw!
You’re welcome:)
Someone mentioned the name [name]Lior[/name] to me… I think it means “light” and is closer to [name]Lulu[/name] and [name]Lola[/name] but has a sophisticated sound to me. So how about:
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Lior[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Lenore[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Lorraine[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Louise[/name] (suggested on many threads so maybe too common)
[name]Ivy[/name] Lenae
Thanks, Great suggestions! I like The sound of [name]Lior[/name]… Need to run it past DH (this will be a challenge)
I am not crazy about any of your middle name options. I love [name]Ivy[/name]! [name]How[/name] about:
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Louisa[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Clementine[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Leona[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Camille[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
I adore [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Lola[/name]! I adore both names independently and never would have thought to put them together…maybe a bit edgy together so just in case I’ll suggest my fav [name]Ivy[/name] combos
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Lillian[/name] (instead of [name]Lola[/name] or lulu)
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] (instead of [name]Scarlett[/name])
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Amelia[/name]
Good luck!
While I like the sound of [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Scarlett[/name] it is too much nature and colour.
I will echo the suggestion of [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] and also suggest:
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Juliet[/name] or [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Odette[/name]
My vote went to [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Miranda[/name].
