Baby name cold feet

Since my husband and I found out we were pregnant in Feb., he has been pushing for the name [name]Cameron[/name]. Since finding out we are having a girl, we have chosen [name]Camryn[/name] [name]Everley[/name]. Though it is a nice name, I worry it is too popular. I favor more unique, older names, our son is [name]Leland[/name] [name]Carter[/name]. So, what do you think of her name, or do you have any suggestions (please no [name]Clementine[/name] or anything with belle/bella).
Thanks.

I think [name]Camryn[/name] [name]Everley[/name] is gorgeous! I’d like it better spelled [name]Cameron[/name], but it really rolls off the tongue nicely. I think you should definitely stick with [name]Everley[/name], I love the name. Some substitutions for [name]Camryn[/name]:

Sticking with C as the first letter:
[name]Camilla[/name]
[name]Christiana[/name]
[name]Claire[/name]
[name]Cambria[/name]
[name]Caitlin[/name]/[name]Caitlyn[/name]

Similar in style to [name]Camryn[/name]:
[name]Harper[/name]
[name]Reagen[/name]
[name]Kendall[/name]
[name]Skylar[/name]/[name]Skyler[/name] (I like [name]Skylar[/name] better for a girl)
[name]Sawyer[/name]

Good luck!

I do think it’s very popular, not unique and older like you want. What about [name]Carmen[/name]? Or a little more unique and can still be called [name]Cam[/name] - [name]Cameo[/name]?

[name]Cameron[/name], [name]Clarissa[/name] or [name]Callista[/name]

Thanks for suggesting the name I picked!?

Could you switch the names? [name]Everley[/name] [name]Camryn[/name]? I think that is MUCH cuter and more uncommon.

I really like [name]Camryn[/name] for a girl. I think it’s one of those rare* masculine names that can work on a girl/woman of any age. [name]Camryn[/name] [name]Everley[/name] looks and sounds very nice. I don’t think it’s too popular. [name]Leland[/name] and [name]Camryn[/name] sound very nice together.

([name]Edit[/name]: *Rare as in there aren’t many masculine names that sound good on women-- not that the name [name]Cameron[/name] is rare!)

[name]Camryn[/name] [name]Everley[/name] is a cute name, but I don’t think it really goes with [name]Leland[/name] [name]Carter[/name]. [name]Leland[/name] [name]Carter[/name] is definitely an older, more …distinguished name combination than [name]Camryn[/name] [name]Everly[/name].

I like the suggestion of switching the names - [name]Everly[/name] [name]Camryn[/name], but I’m still not positive that fits with [name]Leland[/name] [name]Carter[/name].

Other suggestions (some older, some similar in style/sound to [name]Camryn[/name]):
[name]Carmen[/name]
[name]Candice[/name]
[name]Constance[/name] ("[name]Connie[/name]")
[name]Clara[/name]
[name]Camille[/name]
[name]Kendall[/name]
[name]Keely[/name]
[name]Carina[/name]
[name]Corinne[/name]
[name]Delaney[/name]
[name]Georgia[/name]
[name]Siena[/name]
[name]Maisie[/name]
[name]Agatha[/name]
[name]Francine[/name]
[name]Francesca[/name]
[name]Casey[/name]
[name]Skylar[/name]
[name]Maxine[/name]

You had listed [name]Camryn[/name], so I was voting for the different spelling of [name]Cameron[/name].

[name]Camryn[/name] is one of the names I actually prefer the “unique” spelling of. I think [name]Camryn[/name] looks better, when I see [name]Cameron[/name] my brain always pronounces it with 3 syllables or accidentally adds an O so it looks like Cameroon, the African country. I think [name]Camryn[/name] [name]Everly[/name] is very pretty but I love the suggestion of [name]Cambria[/name] and [name]Camilla[/name].

[name]Cameron[/name] is one of my favorites for a boy or girl, it is truly unisex. [name]Camryn[/name] looks girly and young, I don’t like it but maybe that’s what you’re going for. [name]Cameron[/name] seems more solid and serious. I’ve only known [name]Cameron[/name]'s, 2 boys and 1 girl. It’s really not that popular, it’s common but it’s not one of the hordes of “[name]Aidan[/name]'s” or “[name]Ellie[/name]'s”

[name]Love[/name] [name]Everley[/name], moreso for a boy but it’s also unisex. I like the ambiguity of [name]Cameron[/name] [name]Everley[/name] but if you don’t [name]Camryn[/name] [name]Everley[/name] is alright. [name]Leland[/name] & [name]Everley[/name] go nicely together

I like
[name]Camille[/name] [name]Everley[/name]
[name]Everley[/name] [name]Camille[/name]
[name]Cora[/name] [name]Everley[/name]
[name]Celia[/name] [name]Everley[/name]
[name]Everley[/name] [name]Cecile[/name]
[name]Calla[/name] [name]Everley[/name]
[name]Carys[/name] [name]Everley[/name]
[name]Cleo[/name] [name]Everley[/name]

I definitely vote for the [name]Cameron[/name] spelling. [name]Camryn[/name] [name]Everley[/name] is too many y’s… and [name]Camryn[/name] does look trendy.

I honestly think [name]Leland[/name] and [name]Camryn[/name] go very nicely together <3 And Everley is an adorable middle name!

I think [name]Camryn[/name] [name]Everley[/name] looks and sounds nice and goes well with [name]Leland[/name]. I like [name]Cameron[/name] for a boy and girl but and it is currently our number one pick for a boy. If I used it for a girl I would spell it like you have chosen with the y. I think it looks pretty and feminine and helps distinguish which gender. I don’t think it is overly popular or unique. At least not where I’m from and in my circle of friends.

I like [name]Camryn[/name], but it’s my half-sister’s name ([name]Kamryn[/name]) but she goes almost exclusively by Kammee which I think is hideous. [name]Camryn[/name] and [name]Cam[/name] are nice though and I love [name]Everley[/name]. I do agree with some lf the previous posters who have suggested [name]Everley[/name] [name]Camryn[/name] but only because it seems to fit better with [name]Leland[/name] (which is one of my all time favorites).

I prefer the [name]Camryn[/name] spelling since I’m always tempted to pronounce [name]Cameron[/name] - [name]Cam[/name]-ER-[name]RON[/name] which is ugly [name]IMO[/name].
[name]Camryn[/name] is more [name]Cam[/name]-[name]RIN[/name]

[name]Corryn[/name]/[name]Corinne[/name] is also pretty

Sorry if this was already recommended but I love [name]Leland[/name] and [name]Cecelia[/name] together.
