DH and I are stuck. We love the name [name_f]Louise[/name_f], but my dads name is [name_m]Lewis[/name_m]. worried about that, as he is still very much alive, well, and in our lives… The namesake for honouring him would be amazing, but worry over than connotation.
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is lovely, but moms name is [name_f]Charlene[/name_f], and we joked about [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]/[name_f]Lottie[/name_f] and she said way to similar to my name no thank you…
We love older fashioned names, and preferably none in top 10 or 5! Right now I hear a lot of [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_u]Kora[/name_u], [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_f]Emily[/name_f], [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], [name_f]Chloe[/name_f], [name_f]Ava[/name_f]… Some names I like!
Our last name is long, hard to spell, and starts with R.
I dont see any problem with [name_f]Louise[/name_f] and [name_m]Lewis[/name_m]. When together, he’ll mostly be called Dad or Grandpa etc. I assume. I think it’s a cute way to honor him. Your mom might be the only one uncomfortable with it! I suppose if they both went by [name_m]Lew[/name_m]/[name_u]Lou[/name_u] it could get confusing, but other than that I think it’s fine.
[name_f]Louise[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] would be perfect! A tie to both grandparents
Both [name_f]Louise[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] are very beautiful names. I second the suggestion of using [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] (or even [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]) especially the suggestion of [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f].
What about:
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]
[name_f]Francine[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
