Baby Name help -newbie here

I have played with my girl choices more…please tell me your favorite (or suggest any others you think we’d like!) . If you don’t mind piecing a few of my boy name ideas into a good name, I’d greatly appreciate it.

[name_u]Micah[/name_u] and [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] are both great, especially with [name_m]Wesley[/name_m].

[name_u]Madison[/name_u] [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u]

[name_u]Jonah[/name_u] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]

[name_u]Hudson[/name_u] [name_u]Micah[/name_u]
[name_m]Liam[/name_m] [name_m]Colton[/name_m]

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

[name_f]Leah[/name_f] & [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] are lovely!

Here are my thoughts on your list:

[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_u]Kenzie[/name_u] Cahill-I love [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]. It goes really well w/[name_f]Leah[/name_f] & [name_m]Wesley[/name_m]. And the nn [name_f]Livy[/name_f] is so so sweet. [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is super duper popular though, if that’s a concern for you. [name_u]Kenzie[/name_u] is kind of lacking substance to me. Especially w/such a classic like [name_f]Olivia[/name_f].

[name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] Cahill-I don’t like [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] for some reason, yet adore [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] just has that classic [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] Hepburn association. [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] just seems trendier.

[name_f]Myla[/name_f] [name_f]Aubree[/name_f] Cahill-This spelling seems a little tricky, because is it Mee-luh or [name_f]My[/name_f]-luh? I think that Mee-luh spelled [name_f]Mila[/name_f] is gorgeous. The ‘y’ isn’t as simple & elegant looking. Either way, I think that this may be a tad close to [name_f]Leah[/name_f]. And also very popular.

[name_f]Kendra[/name_f] [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] Cahill-Hm. This is different. I don’t love it personally, but it’s not awful & fits in well.

[name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] Cahill-[name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] flows way better.

[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] Cahill-Hm. I like this slightly more than [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_u]Kenzie[/name_u].

[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Kenzley[/name_f] Cahill-[name_f]Kenzley[/name_f] just looks off.

[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] Cahill-This is my favorite [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] combo of what you’ve got. Although I’d love [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Audrey[/name_f].

[name_u]Madison[/name_u] [name_f]Kenzi[/name_f] Cahill-[name_u]Madison[/name_u] is okay. It’s just been so trendy over the years, & I just don’t care for ‘son’ names for a girl.

[name_u]Madison[/name_u] [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] Cahill-This flows better.

[name_f]Kendra[/name_f] [name_u]Madison[/name_u] Cahill-Hm. Either [name_f]Kendra[/name_f] [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] or [name_f]Kendra[/name_f] [name_u]Madison[/name_u] sound okay.

[name_u]Madison[/name_u] [name_f]Kenzley[/name_f] Cahill-[name_u]Madison[/name_u] [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] is better.

A few girl suggestions:

Boy names

[name_m]Colton[/name_m] (cousin names [name_m]Cole[/name_m] :woman_shrugging:t4: If it’s too close)-If you’re close to [name_m]Cole[/name_m] & see him often, it may be too close.

[name_m]Gunnar[/name_m]-I just don’t love this. It’s just the nn ‘[name_m]Gun[/name_m]’ is kind of off.

[name_u]Everett[/name_u]-This is handsome, & I think fits in well w/your crew. A bit popular, but not super over done.

[name_u]Jonah[/name_u]-love love love-Ooh, me too! Very handsome. Boyish yet gentle & classic.

[name_u]Micah[/name_u]-This is fine too. Similar style as [name_u]Jonah[/name_u], but I love [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] way more for some reason.

[name_u]Jameson[/name_u]-This is quite nice. And I like this spelling. The nns [name_u]Jem[/name_u] & Jass are really cute too.

[name_u]Ryder[/name_u]-I must have an aversion to 'y’s, because I really prefer [name_m]Rider[/name_m]. And it just seems easier, since that’s how the word is spelled. [name_m]Rider[/name_m] is really cool. Simple & not too popular.

[name_m]Rhett[/name_m]-Kind of cool. Not my personal favorite, because it seems a little abrupt. I think that [name_u]Everett[/name_u] is softer.

[name_u]Jackson[/name_u]-This is fine. It fits well w/your crew, but it’s just sooo over done.

[name_u]Dakota[/name_u]-Ooh, fun. I rarely see this on lists. I think that it’s a totally different style from [name_f]Leah[/name_f] & [name_m]Wesley[/name_m], but I personally really like it. It’s very nature-y & artsy sounding. And the nn [name_m]Kota[/name_m] is just sweet.

[name_u]Evan[/name_u]-This fits in great w/[name_f]Leah[/name_f] & [name_m]Wesley[/name_m]. Not sure why I can’t personally get into it, but it’s a good name.

[name_u]Hudson[/name_u]-I feel like half the little boys I meet are called this. It’s just getting kind of old. It’s not a bad name though, & fits in well.

[name_m]Liam[/name_m]-I love this, but it’s sooooo popular & also too close to [name_f]Leah[/name_f].

[name_m]Callum[/name_m]-Ooh, love [name_m]Callum[/name_m]! Great alternative to [name_m]Liam[/name_m]. It has a similar feel w/the very cool sporty nn of [name_u]Cal[/name_u].

[name_u]Jonah[/name_u] [name_u]Owen[/name_u]-Hm. I adore [name_u]Owen[/name_u] in general, but don’t care much for this flow. I like [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] [name_u]Everett[/name_u] or [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] [name_m]Rider[/name_m].

[name_u]Jackson[/name_u] [name_u]Owen[/name_u]-I don’t like the flow of this, because they both end in ‘n’. [name_u]Jackson[/name_u] [name_u]Everett[/name_u] or [name_u]Jackson[/name_u] [name_m]Rider[/name_m] are good.

[name_u]Jackson[/name_u] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]-Oh yeah, that’s better!

[name_u]Rowen[/name_u] [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]-I love [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] spelled that way, because that’s how the tree is spelled. Such a beautiful name & it goes nicely w/[name_f]Leah[/name_f] & [name_m]Wesley[/name_m]. [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] is sweet.

A few boy suggestions:

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

Thanks for helping me narrow it down with the girl names. I also love [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f] [name_f]Jade[/name_f] and your spelling.

I love all the boy combo suggestions maybe since those were on my list LOL.

Thanks for the suggestions! Boy combos are so much more difficult for me too. Looking at [name_m]Rhett[/name_m], I noticed I don’t think I like it as a first name.

I was thinking about [name_m]Colton[/name_m] [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] Cahill, but I don’t like the initials hehe.

I like [name_m]Colton[/name_m] [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] and [name_m]Colton[/name_m] [name_u]Ryder[/name_u].

Thanks! I prefer [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] over [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] School Teacher was really strict (and nice), but pretty old and her name was [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]…I also love nicknames being an option.

So, I would love my daughter to have the nn [name_f]Bree[/name_f].

Thanks for narrowing down my extensive boy names. [name_u]Micah[/name_u] is pretty awesome isn’t it?! [name_f]My[/name_f] daughter is special to me. I had her very young. We grew up together and we’re like two sisters. However, she is 15 now. [name_f]My[/name_f] son also just had a birthday too and turned 1! So…I especially want it to flow with [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] since they’ll be much closer in age. I’ll be calling them in from outside etc.

With [name_f]Leah[/name_f] & [name_m]Wesley[/name_m], I like [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] best. The others feel a little too modern/trendy next to them. [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] or [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] would be sweet. From your boy list, I think [name_u]Everett[/name_u] would be great with [name_f]Leah[/name_f] & [name_m]Wesley[/name_m]. [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] would also work, but it does kind of make [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] look a little left out… If you love it, though it seems like a good choice for you. [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] [name_u]Owen[/name_u] doesn’t flow too well, tbh. Maybe [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] [name_m]Liam[/name_m] or [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] [name_m]Callum[/name_m]?

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this could help a little!

I appreciate the name suggestions. You turned my lengthy boy list into combos. I like [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] [name_u]Everett[/name_u] best. I like [name_u]Jackson[/name_u] [name_m]Rhett[/name_m] a lot too.

I think I like [name_m]Liam[/name_m] and [name_m]Colton[/name_m] together. Maybe [name_m]Colton[/name_m] [name_m]Liam[/name_m] though…hmm

Thanks again!

I love [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u]/[name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] and [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] [name_u]Owen[/name_u]/[name_u]Rowen[/name_u] [name_m]Oliver[/name_m].

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] [name_f]Michelle[/name_f],

Thanks for such a thorough response. I like [name_m]Milo[/name_m] and [name_u]Tristan[/name_u].[name_f]Claire[/name_f] is my MIL’s middle name so there’s an idea! As I mentioned, in another reply…I dig nn options so like [name_m]Callum[/name_m] more now that you suggested a nn [name_u]Cal[/name_u]

I like spelling names correctly since my name always gets butchered [name_f]Alicia[/name_f], [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f], [name_f]Alisha[/name_f], [name_f]Elisa[/name_f] etc…ugh. That’s why I have [name_f]Leah[/name_f] and [name_m]Wesley[/name_m]. Yet his great grandma still manages to call him [name_u]Leslie[/name_u] sometimes haha.

Boy names are harder for me…[name_u]Jackson[/name_u] [name_u]Everett[/name_u] is cool. I like [name_m]Jaxon[/name_m] because an x just looks cool, but I’m a teacher so spelling is a major pet peeve.

Good point…[name_m]Liam[/name_m] is too close to [name_f]Leah[/name_f]. I don’t want an overly done name so [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] is out. [name_u]Evan[/name_u] isn’t my favorite either.

I like the handsome, boyish and classic. [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] [name_u]Everett[/name_u] is my favorite

I had a college friend and her name was the Spanish form of [name_f]Camila[/name_f]. Her nn was Mee-Luh and I liked it. I just would hate for the poor child to have to correct everyone pronouncing her name. So, [name_f]Mila[/name_f] would definitely be a middle name!

I prefer [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] with nn as [name_f]Bree[/name_f]. The hubby loves [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u], but it sounds like a cute five year old name to me. So, I played with some variations I found online. [name_u]Madison[/name_u] is too trendy probably for me.

Favorites narrowed…
[name_u]Jonah[/name_u] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u]
Thanks again!

I love [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]. The hubby does too, but I felt its popular. I guess it doesnt matter if we both are crazy about it huh! [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] sound great…I like that both middle names have a nn option.

I love [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] as a first name. Its hard to find a good middle name for it. [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] [name_m]Callum[/name_m] sounds okay to me. [name_m]How[/name_m] do you mean [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] looks left out :frowning: ? Is it because the other two are Biblical names?

Yeah, I was thinking that [name_f]Leah[/name_f] & [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] are a) both Biblical and b) end in -ah. [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] doesn’t fit that pattern. But that is not really important if you love the name! Plus, if you are planning to have future children, that may make a difference, too.

Oh dang Elanorelle…how did I not see the -ah endings! Ugh…

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you like the name [name_u]Everly[/name_u] for a girl? I just saw it. I also saw [name_f]Evelina[/name_f] which I thought was different. What do you think?

[name_u]Madison[/name_u] and [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] don’t feel as classic as [name_f]Leah[/name_f] or [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] (and tbh I prefer [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] on a boy) but [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] and [name_f]Kendra[/name_f] both fit your set very nicely! [name_f]Myla[/name_f] is a little offbeat but not out of place.

Of the options you’ve provided I like [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_u]Kenzie[/name_u] the most.

Of your boy names shown here, [name_u]Evan[/name_u], [name_u]Everett[/name_u], [name_m]Liam[/name_m], [name_m]Callum[/name_m], and [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]* are all lovely. I like [name_m]Gunnar[/name_m] but would probably ly put it in the middle. The rest of the list seems overly trendy compared to the classic names of your other children. And I would not use [name_u]Dakota[/name_u] as it’s in poor taste.

[name_u]Everly[/name_u] is cute, but not quite the same style as your older children’s names (not sure if that matters to you or not). [name_f]Evelina[/name_f] is quite lovely, too, and would be a great alternative to [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] if popularity is an issue.

[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite from your girl list is [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] and nn [name_f]Bree[/name_f] is cute. [name_m]Don[/name_m]’t like [name_u]Everly[/name_u] as much. For a boy I like [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] [name_u]Everett[/name_u] or [name_u]Evan[/name_u] [name_u]Micah[/name_u].

Thank you
