My husband loves the name [name]Knox[/name] and I like it but think it may make a better middle name than a first name but came across the name [name]Lennox[/name] where Nox or [name]Knox[/name] could be a nickname. What are your thoughts, do you think the nickname works for it and do you see it as a boy name or a girl name?
I think if you really want to get Nox/[name]Knox[/name] as a nickname, [name]Lennox[/name] is the perfect way to do so. I admittedly associate it with a girl more than a boy, even though it sounds like a boy name because of its use on the TV show [name]Melissa[/name] & [name]Joey[/name].
I’ve loved [name]Lennox[/name] for years! I think it’s great. Punchy, and contemporary-sounding but it’s also Shakespearean.
I only think of it as a boy name, though.
Definitely a boy name, [name]IMO[/name]. I like it much better than just [name]Knox[/name].
I’ll be honest and say that I associate it more with a girl, mainly because of [name]Mary[/name] [name]Lennox[/name] of The [name]Secret[/name] Garden. I like it and feel it’s much more ‘namey’ than [name]Knox[/name] or Nox.

I like it! I definitely think boy’s name. Although I have to say I like [name]Knox[/name] better but I’m biased because it was my grandfather’s name and is my brother’s middle name!
I like the name [name]Lennox[/name], as it is similar to [name]Lennon[/name] and I love that as well. I think of it as a boys name, especially if you want to use the nickname [name]Knox[/name]/Nox, but I like the long form [name]Lennox[/name] better than the nickname!
Makes me think of [name]Annie[/name] [name]Lennox[/name], but it suits a boy and [name]Knox[/name] is a wonderful nickname.

I know 2 boys named [name_m]Lennox[/name_m] and 1 has [name_m]Knox[/name_m] as a nn. I love it as a boys name and think of it only as a boys name. A girl could get away with the name too though.
In Australia there is a beautiful coastal surfy town called [name_m]Lennox[/name_m] Head, so it has that association for me, which is nice.
hate [name_m]Knox[/name_m] because its trendy & [name_f]Jolie[/name_f]-Pitty lol
[name_m]Lennox[/name_m] is great and hard for me because i first think of [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_m]Lennox[/name_m] from The [name_f]Secret[/name_f] Garden, but as a surname i would lean much more towards boy
