Hey everyone! So here is my baby list with some girl and boy names. [name_m]Can[/name_m] you please tell me which names are your fav and ur least fav for each gender. I love names based on space, stars and constellations so a few of the names here are not that popular. I’m still not sure about some of these names but ill put them here anyways. I think this list is great!! And if you needed a name for anything, I think you are already there. ([name_f]My[/name_f] faves are [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] and [name_f]Maebh[/name_f], you don’t have to listen to my or anyone else’s opinion though!)
Favourites for boys:
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m]: yes! handsome, robust, great nn options, all around a great name
[name_m]Apollo[/name_m]: I really love this name!
[name_m]Alaric[/name_m]: this is a lovely unexpected but familiar name :))

Least favourites for boys:
[name_m]Draco[/name_m]: completely inextricable from [name_u]Harry[/name_u] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] for me and many many others
Favourites for girls:
[name_f]Maebh[/name_f]: I love the Irish spelling
[name_u]Eden[/name_u]: lovely, sweet, but sort of still sassy
[name_f]Olive[/name_f]: i have such a sweet spot for this name, it’s just so lovely and upbeat
[name_f]Florence[/name_f]: classy, dignified, but not uptight, perfect
Least favourites for girls:
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f]: I know it is beautiful on paper, but please find a young child and ask them to pronounce it. In my experience (both having tried to say it as a child and having children try to say it) it will come out mumbled and messy, just a total jumble of vowels in no order. Not super sure if it’ll be a problem now, as [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is steadily growing in popularity, but when I was growing up w this name it was mistaken for [name_f]Laura[/name_f], [name_f]Lauren[/name_f], [name_f]Flora[/name_f], or [name_f]Florence[/name_f] almost every time I introduced myself, and correcting people gets quite tiring. Also, the intuitive nn of [name_u]Rory[/name_u] is a boys name in [name_f]Ireland[/name_f], which is fine, but something to consider.
Overall, I really love your list! you have some utter beauties and hidden gems in there :))
Aurora (this is my niece’s name and I’ve always loved it! She’s always loved her name as well, and she never had issues pronouncing it (nor did her friends/classmates). It may have something to do with our accent though, I suppose! Also, she’s never been called [name_u]Rory[/name_u], if that’s something you’re worried about!)
