[name_m]Hi[/name_m], I love editing and adding names to my baby name list. But my list for baby girl names is just getting to long. Please comment on your least favorite and most favorite names. Thank you
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Anya[/name_f] [name_f]Elaine[/name_f]
[name_f]Emerie[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Margo[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] vale
[name_f]Isadora[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]
[name_f]Odessa[/name_f] ivy
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]
[name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] rue
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f] [name_f]Cosette[/name_f]
[name_u]Paisley[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] reed
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f]
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Lilly[/name_f]
My least favorites are [name_u]Paisley[/name_u] (it’s always seemed a bit lowbrow to me, sorry!) and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] (just never a fan of that name) but the rest of your combos are gorgeous! I can tell why you have trouble narrowing down your list.
For me, these are the combos that don’t roll off the tongue quite as easily as the others:
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Lilly[/name_f]
These are my favorites in terms of having the best flow, and my favorites of the names themselves:
[name_f]Odessa[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]
[name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]
[name_u]Paisley[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_u]Reed[/name_u]
My favourites are [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Margo[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Lilly[/name_f]. My least favourites are [name_f]Anya[/name_f] [name_f]Elaine[/name_f], [name_f]Odessa[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_u]Reed[/name_u] and [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_u]Vale[/name_u].
However, I do really like [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], [name_f]Elodie[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_f]Isadora[/name_f], [name_f]Belle[/name_f], [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] by themselves, just not in the combos.
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]- this is a nice name, it doesn’t pop to me.
[name_f]Anya[/name_f] [name_f]Elaine[/name_f]- I actually really like this and I don’t typically like 2 syllable 2 syllable names.
[name_f]Emerie[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]- probably favorite
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Margo[/name_f]- I like [name_f]Margo[/name_f] but [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] is over rated.
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]- I have never liked [name_f]Clara[/name_f].
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_u]Vale[/name_u]- I like this!
[name_f]Isadora[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]- this is okay.
[name_f]Odessa[/name_f] ivy - I actually really like [name_f]Odessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]- I feel this is very like Southern [name_f]Belle[/name_f] sound.
[name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]- I do not like [name_f]Paige[/name_f] very dads to me.
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] rue- same as [name_f]Paige[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f] [name_f]Cosette[/name_f]- [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] this
[name_u]Paisley[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]- not a fan.
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]- I like Julietz and I like [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]. But not together.
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] reed- seems out of place with the others.
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f]- no from me
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Lilly[/name_f]- no from me.
I love:
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] - like it but it’s a little too classic for my taste + [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is mega popular where I live.
[name_f]Anya[/name_f] [name_f]Elaine[/name_f] - I like [name_f]Anya[/name_f] but prefer the [name_f]Annia[/name_f] spelling. Never liked [name_f]Elaine[/name_f], it sounds a little harsh to me or it might just be the [name_u]Tracy[/name_u] Beaker reference.
[name_f]Emerie[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] - [name_f]Emerie[/name_f] sounds made up to my ear. Prefer [name_f]Emilie[/name_f]. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is a mum name to me.
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Margo[/name_f] - [name_u]LOVE[/name_u]! I love [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] and [name_f]Margo[/name_f] both separately and together they are lovely too. I love the nicknames [name_f]Nell[/name_f] and [name_f]Lola[/name_f].
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] - Technically I should love [name_f]Clara[/name_f] but I just don’t I have no idea why because it’s a lovely name. [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is too frilly for me.
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] vale - Not keen on [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] or [name_u]Vale[/name_u].
[name_f]Isadora[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] but [name_f]Marie[/name_f] is such a common middle name, everyone I know seems to have it so I kind of hate it now.
[name_f]Odessa[/name_f] ivy - [name_f]Odessa[/name_f] is just a name that I can’t make myself like but [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] is one of my absolute favourites.
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] - [name_f]Adore[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] but [name_f]Belle[/name_f] just sounds slightly tacky to me mostly because of personal experience
[name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] - very common and I don’t like the way [name_f]Paige[/name_f] sounds. Its a little bit tacky to me.
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] rue - [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_u]Rue[/name_u] is ok but I just think of the Hunger Games.
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f] [name_f]Cosette[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], [name_f]Cosette[/name_f] reminds me of a doily (absolutely no clue why) or of a courgette.
[name_u]Paisley[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] - I just can’t see [name_u]Paisley[/name_u] as a name at all. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is popular but classic so i don’t hate it but I don’t love it either.
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] - I don’t like the -et sound of [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] but [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is cute.
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] reed - [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] is nice but [name_u]Reed[/name_u] is meh
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f] - [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] but [name_f]Renee[/name_f] is not to my style.
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Lilly[/name_f] - sounds like a character from a little girls book/ the kind of thing little girls say they want to name their daughter - very frilly and girly
my favorites:
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]
[name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] rue
[name_u]Paisley[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] reed -although [name_u]Reed[/name_u] is 100% masculine to me
my least favorite:
[name_f]Emerie[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] - adore [name_f]Claire[/name_f], adore [name_u]Emory[/name_u]/[name_u]Emery[/name_u] for a boy/man
[name_f]Isadora[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]
[name_f]Odessa[/name_f] ivy
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Lilly[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]- I love both names & like them together, but don’t [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] it
[name_f]Anya[/name_f] [name_f]Elaine[/name_f]- [name_f]Elaine[/name_f] is one of my favorite names and I love these together
[name_f]Emerie[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]- [name_u]Love[/name_u]!
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Margo[/name_f]- I don’t see why everyone loves these names so much, not one of my favorites
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]- Really like!
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_u]Vale[/name_u]- [name_u]Love[/name_u], great combo!
[name_f]Isadora[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]- [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t like
[name_f]Odessa[/name_f] ivy - I like it ok, not really my style but flows well and feels special
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]- I like [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] but not [name_f]Belle[/name_f], too southern together for me
[name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]- [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t like, [name_f]Ella[/name_f] is boring to me and [name_f]Paige[/name_f] feels plain
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f] [name_f]Cosette[/name_f]-Like!
[name_u]Paisley[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]-Dislike
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]-ok, love [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] reed-Like [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] but not with [name_u]Reed[/name_u]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f]-dislike
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Lilly[/name_f]-dislike, too frilly for me
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]: vintage vibe; [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is a great name. Normal combo.
[name_f]Anya[/name_f] [name_f]Elaine[/name_f]: [name_f]Anya[/name_f] is such a fun name (great variation of [name_f]Anna[/name_f] btw). The flow isn’t the best (First A of [name_f]Anya[/name_f] and the Lai part). I must say that [name_f]Elaine[/name_f] is quite boring (I would ask if it’s a honor name)
[name_f]Emerie[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]: too similar to [name_u]Emery[/name_u], a boy name. Nice flow. [name_f]Merry[/name_f] would be a great nn.
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Margo[/name_f]: not the best flow (Lope and [name_f]Margo[/name_f]), but a beautiful combo. I’m not a fan of [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], however I love the apparently endless nickname options ([name_u]Penny[/name_u], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], [name_f]Pixie[/name_f], [name_f]Lupe[/name_f] here). I love the [name_f]Margo[/name_f] spelling.
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]: again not the best flow ([name_f]ClarA[/name_f] and [name_f]RosA[/name_f]). Normal combo.
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_u]Vale[/name_u]: fun combo. [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] is a bit childish (not too much), but I adore the nn possibilities (Loly, Lodie, [name_f]Didi[/name_f])
[name_f]Isadora[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]: [name_u]LOVE[/name_u]. Wonderful names, wonderful combo. Only “problem” is the nickname. [name_u]Isa[/name_u] and [name_u]Izzy[/name_u] are quite common, but what about [name_f]Dora[/name_f], [name_f]Dorie[/name_f], [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_f]Sora[/name_f], [name_f]Zara[/name_f]?
[name_f]Odessa[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]: I love it! [name_f]Odessa[/name_f] is an unusual choice, but a very elegant one. [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] complements the given name beautifully. NN: [name_f]Essa[/name_f], [name_f]Essie[/name_f], Dess, [name_m]Dex[/name_m] or just O.
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]: I’m a [name_f]Lu[/name_f]ísa, so I’m biased. The combo has nice flow, though [name_f]Belle[/name_f] is quite uninteresting. Good part is that [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] has tons of nicknames: [name_f]Lu[/name_f], [name_f]Lulu[/name_f], [name_u]Isa[/name_u], [name_u]Izzy[/name_u], Wheeze, Whiz, [name_f]Lula[/name_f] and, in my case, [name_m]Luka[/name_m].
[name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]: great flow. [name_f]Ella[/name_f] is not for me, but I see the classy appeal.
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_u]Rue[/name_u]: I never pronounce this one ([name_f]Sadie[/name_f]) right. The flow of the combo is nice. I prefer [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] as nn rather than as a given name.
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f] [name_f]Cosette[/name_f]: nickname-y (prefer [name_f]Elsa[/name_f], [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] or [name_f]Elsbeth[/name_f]). Fun combo, not the best flow.
[name_u]Paisley[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]: not the best flow (Ai part and [name_m]Eli[/name_m] part). [name_u]Paisley[/name_u] is nms, but [name_f]Lily[/name_f] as nn is nice. I like how [name_u]Paisley[/name_u] is more modern and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is a classic in this combo.
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]: like. A mn not starting with a vowel would be better. I don’t care about [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], but love [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]. [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is a solid choice with lots of nn: [name_u]Jules[/name_u], [name_u]Julie[/name_u], [name_u]Jet[/name_u], [name_f]Jetta[/name_f], [name_f]Jewel[/name_f], Juju, [name_f]Ettie[/name_f], [name_f]Letty[/name_f].
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_u]Reed[/name_u]: different. I like the flow even though isn’t perfect (the Rs). I quite like male names as middle ones for girls. NN: [name_f]Junie[/name_f], Jupe, [name_u]Perry[/name_u], [name_f]Juno[/name_f].
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f]: visually the combo isn’t great, but I think the flow is nice.
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Lilly[/name_f]: unnecessary double Ls. [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is a common middle. [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] is nms, but it has interesting nn possibilities, very princess-y.
Best Given Names: [name_f]Anya[/name_f], [name_f]Isadora[/name_f], [name_f]Odessa[/name_f], [name_f]Louisa[/name_f].
Best Middle Names: [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], [name_f]Margo[/name_f], [name_f]Marie[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_u]Rue[/name_u], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_u]Reed[/name_u].
Most favorite combos:
[name_f]Isadora[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]
[name_f]Odessa[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]
[name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_u]Reed[/name_u]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f]
Least [name_m]Favorite[/name_m] Combos:
[name_f]Emerie[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_u]Rue[/name_u]
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Lilly[/name_f]
[name_u]Paisley[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Anya[/name_f] [name_f]Elaine[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] - this feels very conservative, a little bit prissy or goody-goody. I don’t care for it
[name_f]Anya[/name_f] [name_f]Elaine[/name_f] - I really like it, but it doesn’t fit the vintage trend of the rest of your names.
[name_f]Emerie[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] - I strongly dislike [name_f]Emerie[/name_f]. I hear [name_f]Marie[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] quite distinctly when I saw it aloud.
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Margo[/name_f] - dislike the flow, sounds garbled saying it out loud. [name_f]Margo[/name_f] looks unfinished next to the elaborately constructed [name_f]Penelope[/name_f].
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] - the names slur into each other out loud
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_u]Vale[/name_u] - very beautiful
[name_f]Isadora[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] - I love the flow
[name_f]Odessa[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] - I don’t like how both names begin with a short vowel sound, but I like the style
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] - beautiful name
[name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] - not very exciting
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_u]Rue[/name_u] - very cute, but almost too cute, like a character’s name
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f] [name_f]Cosette[/name_f] - it’s very sweet, but also slightly childish.
[name_u]Paisley[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] - I thin [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] makes [name_u]Paisley[/name_u] sound pretty.
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] - I dislike the flow. [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is a flowing name and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] sounds abrupt afterward.
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] reed - this reminds me of a swamp, I’m sorry.
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f] - too many "e"s.
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Lilly[/name_f] - too many "l"s.
