Avrielle
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] ( [name_u]Charlie[/name_u])

Which do you like / not like and why?

Middle name suggestions.

Brothers name is [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] [name_u]Neil[/name_u]
Last name Fewer

They’re all lovely names, you can’t go wrong!

My top picks would be [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] or Avrielle!

I think [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] Avrielle Fewer would be a lovely name! or Avrielle [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] Fewer!

[name_m]Wesley[/name_m] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] are perfect siblings! I also like Avrielle but it does go as well with [name_m]Wesley[/name_m], but that doesn’t necessarily matter.

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] Avrielle and Avrielle [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] are very pretty!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

Here are my thoughts:

[name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] ([name_u]Alex[/name_u])-I like [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f]. I especially find it prettier than [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] for some reason. I don’t care much for [name_u]Alex[/name_u] though. [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] & [name_u]Alex[/name_u] totally sound like brothers to me.

[name_f]Ariana[/name_f]-This seems trendy and over done. Also, pronunciation will most likely be an issue. Are-ee-ah-nuh vs. [name_f]Air[/name_f]-ee-ah-nuh.

Avrielle -Hm, not sure. This seems a little made up. It also doesn’t flow great w/Fewer in my opinion.

[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] -I love this one. It’s way popular, but it’s a beautiful timeless name. And I super adore the nn [name_f]Livy[/name_f]. So so sweet.

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] ( [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]) -I think that [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is quite nice as a sister for [name_m]Wesley[/name_m], but [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] is all boy to me. It’s especially odd to use this as a nn (lots of people do, I know), because [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is a soft ‘Ch’ sound, & [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] is not. What about the nn [name_f]Lottie[/name_f]?

[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is my favorite. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] are brilliant!!

Congratulations on your baby! I think [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] is beautiful. My favourite by far. It’s classic, it’s strong and the “i” at the end makes it stand out from the more familiar variant [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]. I love that it has a feminine feel but can be shortened for more tomboy vibes. Speaking of nicknames, she will have so many options: [name_f]Ally[/name_f], [name_u]Lexi[/name_u], [name_f]Alexa[/name_f], [name_u]Alexis[/name_u], [name_u]Andy[/name_u], [name_f]Andria[/name_f], [name_u]Sandy[/name_u], [name_f]Sandra[/name_f], Xandria, [name_f]Ria[/name_f], [name_f]Aria[/name_f] and of course [name_u]Alex[/name_u] as you’ve mentioned. I also think the name pairs very well with her brother [name_m]Wesley[/name_m].

I’m not so keen on [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] because of their popularity. They have been at the top of the charts since at least 2010. I think that having a less common name gives a sense of individualism. I only meet people very occasionally with my name and I’ve really liked that. [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] is also increasing in popularity, as well the association to [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] [name_f]Grande[/name_f]. I’m not sure about Avrielle. Not heard of it before, perhaps it’s the “vr” sound I’m not connecting with. I prefer [name_f]Arielle[/name_f], [name_f]Arabelle[/name_f] or [name_u]Avery[/name_u].

Some suggestions for middle names: [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] [name_f]Chloe[/name_f], [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] [name_f]Lucille[/name_f], [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] [name_f]Harriet[/name_f], [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] [name_u]Rae[/name_u], [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] [name_f]Sabine[/name_f], [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f], [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u], [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] [name_u]Carmen[/name_u], [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] [name_u]Riley[/name_u], [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f], [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] [name_u]Shea[/name_u], [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f] and [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] [name_f]Valerie[/name_f].

[name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] is my favourite, followed by [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]!

Thank you for the insight. I love [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] but do you think people will always shorten it?

I also am leaning more toward [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]. So difficult. Thanks for all the input. Not sure I want it so popular but also don’t want to constantly correct pronunciation for [name_f]Ariana[/name_f].

Thoughts?

[name_m]Wesley[/name_m] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] would be a gorgeous sibset!

I like [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] & [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] best. I also think [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] are lovely, albeit extremely common. All four would work well with [name_m]Wesley[/name_m], so you can’t go wrong there.

The only one I’m not so keen on is Avrielle. I would prefer [name_f]Avril[/name_f] or [name_f]Arielle[/name_f] myself. I probably wouldn’t mind it as much if spelled Avriel, as I find Avrielle a little unnecessarily frilly with the added -le.

My strong favourite is [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f]. Second is [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. Both are lovely names and great with brother [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] and the surname. [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is 3rd choice - again, lovely. I’m not a fan of the others.

There will be people you meet who will shorten her name in some way. Because it’s easier, because it’s cultural, because they are familiar with her. It happens to most of us. Longer names probably get it more frequently but even short names can be changed. For instance, [name_f]Rose[/name_f] can become [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]. Most of the names on your list could be shortened from time to time without yours or her permission as they range from 2 to 5 syllables in length. Not everyone will. But almost everyone will listen to yours or her wishes if you tell them she prefers her full name. I prefer to be known by my full name myself. When I meet someone for the first time, it’s really easy to let them know I like to be called by my full name. Often they will ask me themselves what I preferred to be called by. So I don’t think this should be a deal breaker, not for [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] or for any of the names on your list.

I don’t think pronunciation would be a major problem for [name_f]Ariana[/name_f]. I think you’d only need to tell them once. There may be people who struggle to remember because they don’t see her often, but I think all the important people (friends, family) would get it right. As for [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]'s popularity, it isn’t something you can change or have a say in. It just depends how you feel about it. Ultimately, I think the most important thing is how much you both love the name.
