Baby name Raeney or Raena - does it match surname?

I love the name Raeney or Raena for this baby as it is after my mother, however the babys surname is [name_m]Burns[/name_m].
I’m unsure whether it’s wise because of [name_u]Rae[/name_u] [name_m]Burns[/name_m], i.e sunburn :woman_facepalming:t2: I’m super sensitive to any childhood bullying etc.
She wouldn’t be called [name_u]Rae[/name_u], but if you saw this name would your mind automatically go to that?
Thanks for any advice

What about alternative of [name_f]Reina[/name_f]? That way it won’t have any connotations with [name_u]Ray[/name_u]? I do think Raena nn [name_u]Ray[/name_u] could be avoided with a different nn [name_f]Ena[/name_f]? I don’t think of sun burnt when I hear Raena tbh and I hardly doubt teasing will happen given how passable the name is!

I dont think of sunburn at all! There was never really any name-teasing back in my day at school, but I see it as a concern for alot of people - is it common in other areas?
I think Raena [name_m]Burns[/name_m] sounds brilliant!

I wouldn’t have thought of sunburn at all. I second the suggestion of [name_f]Reina[/name_f] as an alternative though!

Raena [name_m]Burns[/name_m] sounds fine!!

I don’t think of it at all.

I think it sounds fine, but if you are nervous you could always spell it [name_f]Reyna[/name_f], [name_f]Reina[/name_f], or [name_f]Raina[/name_f].
