I’m looking for non-biased opinions on the name [name]Hart[/name] for a boy.
I love the name, but feel it is a little too short to fun to carry a kid through life. I could see an artist named [name]Hart[/name] a baseball player sporting [name]Hart[/name] on the back of his jersey, but maybe not a lawyer or Dr. with an office door that says [name]Hart[/name]. Thinking [name]Hartley[/name] instead, using [name]Hart[/name] for short.
I’m in love with the name and nearly everyone I ask loves it, however, my husbands family feels differently, STRONGLY!!
[name]Hartley[/name] [name]Day[/name] Wiler??
What are your thoughts?
Also, any other suggestions for unique names, not off the wall, but not commonly used?
It is kind of short, but it’s a nice short. The name [name]Ian[/name] is used easily and has no problems. So [name]Hart[/name] is workable too.
[name]Hartley[/name] I like a lot less. I like [name]Hadley[/name] more than [name]Hartley[/name].
I don’t like [name]Day[/name] at all, it’s a filler name to me, there’s no real meaning or purpose at all imo.
[name]Hart[/name] [name]Dawson[/name], for example, is much better.
On a baby, sure. [name]Hart[/name] on an adult… No. I don’t like how it sounds so close to ‘hardly’. It really sounds contrived to me. [name]Hadley[/name] is a bit more usable but in general the last-namey style irks me.
[name]Day[/name] is a family name, but if we went with [name]Hart[/name] we would go with a longer middle name. Any other thoughts for names that sound good with [name]Hart[/name]? Another option for first name is [name]Brynn[/name]. I personally like a sharper sound for a boys name…[name]Hart[/name], [name]Jake[/name], [name]Chase[/name]. I feel like [name]Brynn[/name] sounds a little dull. Opinion on that?
