Baby Names Announced on Social Media in November & December

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Here are some baby names announced on social media in [name_u]November[/name_u] and [name_u]December[/name_u] of 2023! I am excited to see the names of 2024 and have actually already seen a little name announcement in the new year

BOYS:
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Grey[/name_u] [name_m]Wood[/name_m]
[name_u]Julian[/name_u] [name_m]Antonio[/name_m]
[name_u]Brecken[/name_u] Klein
[name_u]Karsten[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Brooks[/name_u] [name_u]Walker[/name_u]
[name_m]Sylas[/name_m] [name_u]Cooper[/name_u]
[name_u]Beckham[/name_u] [name_u]Scott[/name_u]
[name_u]Lennox[/name_u] [name_u]Joseph[/name_u]
[name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Eugene[/name_m]
[name_m]Haddon[/name_m] [name_m]Clay[/name_m]

The boys names I still am seeing a LOT of the same pattern on my social media for boys. Typically this is a trendy first name (Noah, [name_u]Grey[/name_u], [name_u]Julian[/name_u], [name_u]Brooks[/name_u], [name_m]Sylas[/name_m], [name_u]Beckham[/name_u] and James) and a classic middle name (James, [name_u]James[/name_u] again, [name_u]Walker[/name_u], [name_u]Cooper[/name_u], [name_u]Scott[/name_u] and Joseph). There are a few names that surprised me - the spelling of [name_m]Sylas[/name_m], [name_u]Karsten[/name_u] and Haddox. [name_u]Grey[/name_u] [name_m]Wood[/name_m] is tough for me since it seems like it’s just describing wood…

GIRLS:
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] Ardie
[name_u]Josie[/name_u] [name_u]Lynn[/name_u]
Andersyn [name_f]Lynne[/name_f]
[name_f]Oaklynn[/name_f] [name_u]Jade[/name_u]
Krosby [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_f]Mila[/name_f]
[name_f]Gianna[/name_f] [name_f]Rea[/name_f]
[name_f]Cosette[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u] (Cosie)
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_u]Emery[/name_u]
[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Magdalene[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u]
[name_u]Sutton[/name_u] [name_u]Jo[/name_u]
[name_f]Goldie[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_u]Meredith[/name_u] [name_u]Blair[/name_u]
[name_f]Mary[/name_f] Mahryn

[name_m]Just[/name_m] like the boys, there is a girl name trend that I see VERY frequently on my social media: cutesy/trendy two-syllable first names (Nora, [name_u]Josie[/name_u], [name_f]Oaklynn[/name_f], Krosby, [name_f]Mila[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] and Goldie) and simple, one-syllable middles (Lynn, [name_f]Lynne[/name_f], [name_u]Jade[/name_u], [name_u]Leigh[/name_u], [name_f]Rea[/name_f], [name_f]Mae[/name_f], [name_u]Jo[/name_u], [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] again and Blair). Some names are sort of out of left field for me: Ardie, Krosby, [name_f]Cosette[/name_f], [name_f]Magdalene[/name_f] and then Mahryn I have no idea where that came from!

I always look forward to these! Thanks for sharing!

[name_f]My[/name_f] favorites are [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Eugene[/name_m], [name_m]Sylas[/name_m] [name_u]Cooper[/name_u], [name_f]Mila[/name_f], and [name_f]Magdalene[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u].

I’m intrigued by the names where both first and middle read as surnames to me: [name_u]Brecken[/name_u] Klein, [name_u]Brooks[/name_u] [name_u]Walker[/name_u], [name_m]Haddon[/name_m] [name_m]Clay[/name_m].

I think I’ve seen [name_f]Mary[/name_f] Mahryn mentioned here before, and it’s growing on me! I can see it as a sing-song name for a children’s book character, and yet both [name_f]Mary[/name_f] and Mahryn on their own feel strong and mature to me.

I wonder how many of the boys names are family names - like [name_m]Wood[/name_m], [name_m]Eugene[/name_m] and Klein. A lot of surname-y ones too!

There feels there’s more of a stylistic range with girls - from sweet and vintage, stylish and sophisticated, classic and solid, surnamey and contemporary.

[name_f]My[/name_f] favourites: [name_u]Julian[/name_u] [name_m]Antonio[/name_m], [name_u]Brooks[/name_u] [name_u]Walker[/name_u], [name_m]Sylas[/name_m] [name_u]Cooper[/name_u], [name_u]Lennox[/name_u] [name_u]Joseph[/name_u], [name_f]Magdalene[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u], [name_u]Meredith[/name_u] [name_u]Blair[/name_u], [name_f]Cosette[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u], [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_u]Emery[/name_u]

ooh I love this set! Thank you so much for sharing these, I really enjoy them.
[name_f]Cosette[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u] is an absolutely gorgeous name, I’d love to use [name_f]Cosette[/name_f] if I felt brave enough. I also really like [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], so simple and sweet. To be honest both of those are names I could consider using. I also enjoy [name_u]Josie[/name_u] [name_u]Lynn[/name_u], [name_f]Mila[/name_f], [name_f]Gianna[/name_f] [name_u]Rae[/name_u], [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_u]Emery[/name_u] and [name_u]Meredith[/name_u] Blair; [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] and [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] are also lovely as firsts.
Not quite such a fan as the boys set, but [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Eugene[/name_m], [name_u]Noah[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_u]Julian[/name_u] [name_m]Antonio[/name_m] and [name_m]Sylas[/name_m] [name_u]Cooper[/name_u] are lovely :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I don’t know if this counts but.

I saw a celebrity (not anyone I know) birth announcement on the news. They (i think she I can’t remember) named the daughter…

[name_u]Kitty[/name_u] [name_f]Frances[/name_f].

[name_f]My[/name_f] first thought was “Very berry”

[name_f]My[/name_f] favorites are…

Boys:
[name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Eugene[/name_m]- [name_m]Classic[/name_m] but [name_m]Eugene[/name_m] adds an interesting twist. A very studious, handsome name!
[name_u]Julian[/name_u] [name_m]Antonio[/name_m]- Romantic! I like the flow and the names individually, but together they give a flamboyant, theatric feel.

Individual names I like are [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_m]Sylas[/name_m], [name_u]Scott[/name_u], and [name_m]Clay[/name_m].

Girls:
[name_f]Cosette[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u] “Cosie”- Very french, and therefore elegant and graceful. I like the springtime sound of this one, and Cosie is adorable
[name_f]Magdalene[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u]- I just love the name [name_f]Magdalene[/name_f]! She’s so strong, passionate, and warm (I also like the nn Magda.) [name_u]Marie[/name_u] is cute as a middle, and works well- I like the alliteration.

Individual names I like are [name_u]Josie[/name_u], [name_f]Mae[/name_f], [name_u]Jo[/name_u], [name_f]Goldie[/name_f], [name_u]Meredith[/name_u], and [name_f]Mary[/name_f].
