I’m currently pregnant with my second child and finding it extremely difficult to even come close to a name. I want to make sure it sounds good with my daughter [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] , but not too matchy matchy. My husband is being picky and seems to like extremely common names, it’s driving me crazy. For our first, had it been a boy, we were stuck on [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] or [name_m]Declan[/name_m]. [name_m]Both[/name_m] those names seem to be on the rise so we’re trying to stay away from them. I really love the name [name_m]Cullen[/name_m], and always have but I’m worried people will associate it with the “Twilight” franchise (grrr). For Girls names I have list a mile long and I don’t even know where to begin crossing them off.
Here are some of the names so far:
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosa[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f]
Irelyn (I liked [name_f]Ireland[/name_f] but my husband doesn’t want to name her after a country)
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Emme[/name_f] ([name_f]Emmy[/name_f])
[name_u]Halle[/name_u]
[name_f]Roslyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Raegan[/name_f] ( rae for short)
[name_u]Rhian[/name_u] ( ree-ahn)
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] - I really like this, but something feels odd about [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] & [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] together. Maybe it’s just me haha
[name_f]Rosa[/name_f] - not a fan
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f] - Adorable! [name_f]Love[/name_f] with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
Irelyn - feels made up, I much prefer [name_f]Ireland[/name_f].
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] - Pretty, but very matchy with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Emme[/name_f] ([name_f]Emmy[/name_f]) - cute for a girl, but I don’t feel like it would age well. It would be hard to take a woman named [name_f]Emme[/name_f] seriously.
[name_u]Halle[/name_u] - Like this a lot! [name_f]Love[/name_f] the sound of [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] & [name_u]Halle[/name_u].
[name_f]Roslyn[/name_f] - Not a fan
[name_f]Raegan[/name_f] - I feel like she’d get her name spelled [name_u]Reagan[/name_u] an annoyingly large percentage of the time, and it’s a bit too unisex compared to the ultra feminine [name_f]Amelia[/name_f].
[name_u]Rhian[/name_u] - Cute, but would probably have prounciation troubles.
[name_m]Edison[/name_m] - Very handsome!
[name_u]Rudy[/name_u] - Not a fan
[name_m]Kean[/name_m] - I like it
[name_m]Cullen[/name_m] - I agree with the twilight associations being a bit strong here. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]Callen[/name_m]?
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] - nice, and it’s handsome with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. I really do love the sound of [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] & [name_m]Harrison[/name_m]!!
[name_u]Sacha[/name_u] - a bit feminine leaning, in the US at least
My vote:
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] & [name_u]Halle[/name_u]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] & [name_m]Harrison[/name_m]
I like [name_m]Cullen[/name_m]. People will forget the Twilight association sooner than you may imagine. (I didn’t even know about it as I am not a Twilight fan and have only seen the first movie). I also like [name_m]Kean[/name_m] and [name_m]Edison[/name_m]…and [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] somewhat. Other boy suggestions:
[name_m]Edmund[/name_m]
[name_m]Truman[/name_m]
[name_u]Dean[/name_u]
[name_m]Keifer[/name_m]
[name_u]Keenan[/name_u]
[name_u]Curran[/name_u] << perfect alternative to Cullen without the Twilight association??

[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] sounds great with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. The first names are elegant and lady-like, and so are the middles, though those match because of the Spanish feel they give me.
[name_f]Roslyn[/name_f] and [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] also go well with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. The others are neat but they don’t make as much sense with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] as [name_f]Madeline[/name_f], [name_f]Roslyn[/name_f], and [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] (though I think [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] makes more sense than [name_f]Elsie[/name_f]).
[name_m]Edison[/name_m], [name_m]Kean[/name_m], and [name_m]Cullen[/name_m] go really good with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. I think I like [name_m]Edison[/name_m] the best with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], as they give off an old charm together. [name_m]Edison[/name_m] [name_m]Kean[/name_m] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] are really neat.
My votes:
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] or [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] [name_m]Edison[/name_m] [name_m]Kean[/name_m] or [name_m]Edison[/name_m] [name_m]Cullen[/name_m] with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]
I love the name [name_m]Edison[/name_m] for a little boy!
Other ideas are:
[name_m]Bram[/name_m]
[name_m]Tennyson[/name_m]
I really like [name_f]Ireland[/name_f] for a girl.
Other ideas are:

[name_f]Maple[/name_f]
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f]

[name_f]Madeline[/name_f]- Nice classic name. Very popular though (particularly the nn [name_f]Maddie[/name_f]) , and I’ve always preferred it in the middle!
[name_f]Rosa[/name_f]- [name_f]Love[/name_f] this! Totally underused [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. Goes fabulously with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. I also love [name_f]Rose[/name_f] nn [name_f]Rosa[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosie[/name_f] !
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f]- Great name! I prefer it as a nn for [name_f]Elsa[/name_f]. Also goes great with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f].
Irelyn (I liked [name_f]Ireland[/name_f] but my husband doesn’t want to name her after a country)- Sounds made-up. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t like, sorry. I could picture [name_f]Ireland[/name_f] as a middle name!
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f]- I don’t love this as much as [name_f]Madeline[/name_f]… It has a more boyish feel to it for some reason. I prefer [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f].
[name_f]Emme[/name_f] ([name_f]Emmy[/name_f])- Too close to [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
[name_u]Halle[/name_u]- Nice, but I don’t think it goes well with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f].
[name_f]Roslyn[/name_f]- This is okay. I much prefer [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] or [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is nice, or [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f].
[name_f]Raegan[/name_f] ( rae for short)- Sorry, don’t like this one.
[name_u]Rhian[/name_u] ( ree-ahn)- [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t like this one either.
Favourites would be [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] and [name_f]Elsa[/name_f].
[name_f]Rosa[/name_f] [name_f]Madeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Madeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosa[/name_f] [name_f]Ireland[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Ireland[/name_f]
[name_m]Edison[/name_m]- This is ok. I prefer [name_m]Edwin[/name_m], [name_m]Edward[/name_m], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m].
[name_u]Rudy[/name_u]- I love this. Great with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f].
[name_m]Kean[/name_m]- Very cool. Feels different from [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] though. Save for middle name maybe?
[name_m]Cullen[/name_m]- I love [name_m]Cullen[/name_m] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] together! I think this is a great choice. I don’t think of Twilight when I hear it.
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m]- Like it, not love. I would prefer just [name_m]Harry[/name_m]. But it is nice with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]!
[name_u]Sacha[/name_u]- [name_f]One[/name_f] of my favourites. Not the best fit with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], but it could work.
My favourite would be [name_m]Cullen[/name_m], followed by [name_u]Rudy[/name_u].
I also really love [name_m]Declan[/name_m] with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] btw. I’m not sure how popular it’s really getting, but if you love it- use it!
