We welcomed our daughter [name_f]Odilia[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Colette[/name_f] “[name_m]Odie[/name_m]” on [name_u]August[/name_u] 30th 2017. If it weren’t for Nameberry I don’t think we would have come up with [name_f]Colette[/name_f] as her middle name. We are Catholic and so wanted our baby to be named after an inspiring saint but also have a name with an official name day in the Czech calendar as my husband and his family are Czech and we celebrate name days.
We are very proud of naming our daughter after 3 very extraordinary, smart and strong women saints who we hope she can grow up to admire and have as role models. [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] is after the amazing St. [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] of [name_f]Siena[/name_f] who is one of the few women doctors of the Church and was just incredibly badass, intelligent and bold. St. [name_f]Colette[/name_f] is the patron saint of women seeking to conceive, which is especially meaningful because I struggled with fertility many years before conceiving [name_m]Odie[/name_m] in my forties, she is my second biological child. [name_f]Odilia[/name_f] is also a saint name but we really chose it just because we instantly fell in love with it and thought it fit our family perfectly. Thank you all for the help and guidance!
