My friends are expecting their first child together here in the UK, but struggling to agree on any boy names. Dad wants something with rock star “attitude”, whereas Mum wants something handsome and artistic but nothing too weird or unfamiliar. If anyone wishes to offer any suggestions which might appeal to them and/or opinions on their current shortlist it would be greatly appreciated.
So far they are considering [name_u]Seth[/name_u], [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], [name_m]Leon[/name_m], [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], [name_m]Jasper[/name_m], [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_m]Emrys[/name_m].
They both like [name_m]Heath[/name_m], but worry about it being too tied to the actor [name_m]Heath[/name_m] Ledger. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it matters? Likewise they really like [name_m]Castiel[/name_m], but feel it is too strongly associated with the TV series Supernatural for them to use. Any names with a similar sound or feel you can think of would be welcomed.
It looks as though [name_m]Heath[/name_m] may be added to the shortlist after all. They also really like [name_u]River[/name_u]. Thank you for your comments so far!
[name_m]Cashel[/name_m], [name_u]Blaise[/name_u], [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m], [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] and [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] are all possibilities. Thank you!
I love [name_m]Heath[/name_m] and don’t automatically think of the actor, but for me [name_m]Castiel[/name_m] is [name_m]WAY[/name_m] too tied to Supernatural. It depends on where they live and how old they are though - for me and my friends, it would be an auto-association, but I know some people who have never even heard of the show.
I love [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] and [name_m]Jasper[/name_m]! I don’t know the actor but I’m from the US so thats probably why I don’t know him. They could consider some Russian names which are usually cool and sleek. For example [name_m]Dmitri[/name_m] or [name_m]Vladimir[/name_m] which are different. Otherwise you could consider [name_m]Brandon[/name_m] or [name_m]Killian[/name_m]. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps! Good luck!
