I’m having a terrible time picking a name for our second baby girl. I like unique names that aren’t too popular, but hubby also doesn’t like names too “out there.” Our almost 2 year old big sissy is named [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] and though it’s gaining traction, I still love how elegant and unique it sounds. So, any advice or names that would go well (last name [name_u]Bentley[/name_u]), would be so appreciated!!
Also my top names at the moment are:
[name_f]Briar[/name_f]
[name_m]Berlin[/name_m]
[name_f]Annora[/name_f]
Ellory
[name_m]Emrys[/name_m]
And [name_f]Cleo[/name_f]
But I’m not sold on any of them! Help!!
Out of your list [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] is my favourite with [name_f]Arabella[/name_f]. [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] or [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] would sound lovely with [name_f]Arabella[/name_f]. [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], [name_u]Saylor[/name_u], [name_u]Genesis[/name_u]/Genadiya/[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] ([name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] nn [name_f]Evie[/name_f]?), [name_f]Eulalia[/name_f]. Those would be my picks.
From your list I love [name_f]Briar[/name_f]! [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] and [name_f]Briar[/name_f] just somehow click for me, and also both share that romantic feel. Here’s a little list of some other suggestions!
I think [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] works best from your list with [name_f]Arabella[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Briar[/name_f] but feel the sounds are too similar to [name_f]Arabella[/name_f], and don’t like it with your surname. [name_f]Annora[/name_f] is nice and would work with surname, but I would prefer different sounds with [name_f]Arabella[/name_f]. I don’t think the others are the same feel at all.
I was also going to suggest [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] and [name_f]Bryony[/name_f].
others:
[name_f]Leonora[/name_f]
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f]
[name_f]Emerald[/name_f]
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f]
[name_f]Eudora[/name_f]
[name_f]Phyllida[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]
[name_f]Bernadette[/name_f]
[name_f]Maris[/name_f]
[name_f]Marissa[/name_f]
[name_f]Clarissa[/name_f]
[name_f]Melisande[/name_f]
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f]
From your list, [name_f]Annora[/name_f] is my favorite with [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] however, I am not totally sold on it either. Have you considered:
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliette[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Marissa[/name_f]
or [name_f]Camilla[/name_f]
[name_f]Annora[/name_f] gives me the same vibe as [name_f]Arabella[/name_f]! If you don’t mind siblings with the same letter then that would be my choice! [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] comes in second!
I like [name_f]Annora[/name_f], but I’m worried that if you were to have a third daughter, you might feel like you had to pick an A name.
So then my second choice would be [name_f]Briar[/name_f], but not sure how you feel about [name_f]Briar[/name_f] [name_u]Bentley[/name_u]? I like alliteration sometimes, but I don’t feel like it works so well here.
I think with [name_f]Arabella[/name_f], a sister name should be equally as feminine - if I heard of siblings [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] & [name_m]Berlin[/name_m] or [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] & [name_m]Emrys[/name_m], I would assume the second child was a boy.
Some fresh ideas:
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] - reminds me or [name_m]Emrys[/name_m] & Ellory, but much more feminine like [name_f]Arabella[/name_f]
[name_f]Cora[/name_f] - short and sweet like [name_f]Briar[/name_f] & [name_f]Cleo[/name_f]
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] - maybe too popular for you?
[name_f]Lucilla[/name_f] or [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] - both feel like they have old school charm and femininity like [name_f]Arabella[/name_f]
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f] - this is actually my favourite for you!
From your list, I like [name_f]Annora[/name_f] best.
I also second the suggestion of [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], and add [name_f]Elora[/name_f], which I think is just as romantic, feminine, and pretty as [name_f]Arabella[/name_f].
