I’m 32 weeks pregnant with fourth and last baby! We’re having a girl but really thought we were having a boy, and planned on using the name [name_m]Luke[/name_m]. We like [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] but are worried it’s too similar to [name_m]Malachi[/name_m].
Older siblings are [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] [name_m]Scott[/name_m], [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f], and [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] [name_m]Allan[/name_m].
Suggestions with middles?
[name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] [name_m]Scott[/name_m], [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] [name_m]Allan[/name_m] & …
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]
[name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Lucille[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
[name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f]
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
Nothing is really speaking to me, more suggestions?
I like [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], but not enough. Otherwise it doesn’t seem like what I’m looking for.
A few names we like but don’t love are:
[name_u]Madison[/name_u]
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
I really like [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] and my hubby likes it, but I’m worried how it will fit.
[name_m]Nicholas[/name_m], [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_m]Malachi[/name_m], and [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u]?
I feel like since you have a feminine name for your one daughter this one needs an equally feminine sounding name as well.

I don’t know if these will help but maybe they will trigger something?
I really like the names you have so far
My first thought was to turn [name_m]Luke[/name_m] into [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. Or something else that keeps the “[name_f]Lu[/name_f]” sound–like [name_f]Lucia[/name_f], [name_f]Louise[/name_f]/[name_f]Louisa[/name_f], or [name_f]Luna[/name_f]? I’ve also heard of [name_m]Luka[/name_m] used as a girls’ name, though I admit I think of it as a boys’ name, primarily.
I don’t think [name_u]MacKenzie[/name_u] and [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] are necessarily too similar. I definitely wouldn’t be shocked to see them together as sister and brother. I think if [name_u]MacKenzie[/name_u] is by far your favorite, you can use it.
Other less similar alternatives based on [name_u]MacKenzie[/name_u]:
[name_f]Kezia[/name_f] (I really like this one!)
or
[name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] (less my personal style than [name_f]Kezia[/name_f], but I think shares some sounds with [name_u]MacKenzie[/name_u])
Also going from the “like but don’t love” list:
[name_u]Madison[/name_u]–>[name_u]Addison[/name_u]…or maybe even [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]?
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f]–>[name_u]Josie[/name_u], [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]
I also thought of [name_f]Suzannah[/name_f] with the nickname [name_f]Suzie[/name_f]–[name_f]Suzannah[/name_f] keeps the three syllables and “z” from [name_u]MacKenzie[/name_u], and [name_f]Suzie[/name_f] is a bit similar to [name_f]Sadie[/name_f].
