We have a daughter [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_u]Elie[/name_u] and a son [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] [name_u]Grey[/name_u]. They’re getting a little sister in [name_u]September[/name_u]! Help us name her!
We are completely open to new suggestions. We prefer unique but not weird, simple, max 2-syllable names. For middle names we like [name_u]Blake[/name_u], [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] and [name_u]Jade[/name_u]. Our last name begins with P and ends in -er. Some favorites for first names as of now:
Of the above list, [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] is my favorite right now. But I’m afraid it sounds too much like [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. I also love [name_f]Iris[/name_f], but it has the same sounding ending as [name_u]Atlas[/name_u].
Would love to do a color or a botanical name, but it’s not an absolute requirement. I feel like I just haven’t heard “the name” yet. Thank you for your help and input!
From your list, I really like [name_f]Lyla[/name_f]! I’d personally suggest [name_f]Juno[/name_f] because it fits nicely with [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] whilst still having its’ “own” sound.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] from your list and I don’t think it sounds too similar to [name_f]Violet[/name_f]! I’ll also suggest:
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f]
[name_u]Eden[/name_u]
[name_f]Meadow[/name_f]
[name_f]Ayla[/name_f]
[name_u]Hazel[/name_u]
(+ love [name_f]Juno[/name_f] and [name_u]Sage[/name_u] from the above list)
I love [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and I don’t think it’s too similar to [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] is also lovely!
I’m sure you’ve poured over every nature/color list, but I also think these names would be great fits.
[name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] and [name_u]Hazel[/name_u]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] and [name_f]Clover[/name_f] (this might seem out there but I had a student named [name_f]Clover[/name_f] last year and it seemed so adorable and wearable to me!)
[name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] and [name_u]Briar[/name_u]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] and [name_f]Calla[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] from your list are certainly my favorites with your two!! Your kiddos have such sweet names. I know a wonderful [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and a wonderful [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] in my own life, so I may be biased, but you’ve got great picks.
When I read the title of your post, my first thought for a sister to [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] was [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]! I think she’d be just adorable paired with them. So spunky, so bright, and so cool- much like V and A.
More ideas are…
[name_f]Belle[/name_f] (oldest meanings come from the color white)
[name_u]Florence[/name_u] (floral!)
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] (like the phebe bird)
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] (not nature per se, but means happiness!)
[name_u]Sunny[/name_u]
[name_u]Hazel[/name_u] (color and nature!)
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] (clear!)
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f] or [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] or [name_f]Opal[/name_f] (also color and nature!)
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] (pretty sure this means “lily”)
[name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] (subtle “rose”)
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilac[/name_f]
[name_f]Olive[/name_f]
[name_f]Pansy[/name_f]
Congratulations on this third baby! [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] are wonderful together. I think your list fits perfectly with your older children’s names. [name_f]My[/name_f] personal favorites are [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] and [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] (in no particular order).
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] feels strong, with a vintage vibe, just like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_u]Atlas[/name_u].
I like that [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] is botanical like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and Greek like [name_u]Atlas[/name_u].
[name_f]Celeste[/name_f] is so aerial and dreamy, it makes the sibset softer.
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] are great choices too, you simply can’t go wrong.
Additional suggestions since you feel like you haven’t found THE name yet
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f]: same style as [name_f]Chloe[/name_f], botanical and mythological
[name_u]Cleo[/name_u]: chic, vintage, sound wise it’s not too close to your older children’s names
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f]: same style as [name_f]Celeste[/name_f]
[name_f]Dahlia[/name_f]: same style as [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f], botanical and vintage
[name_f]Azalea[/name_f]: same as [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f]: same as [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] and [name_f]Azalea[/name_f]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f]: close to [name_f]Lyla[/name_f], but less common and connection to the sky
I like [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_u]Blake[/name_u] and I don’t think it’s too similar to [name_u]Atlas[/name_u]. I will say that [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] are both really popular right now, not sure if that’s a concern or not.

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_u]Elie[/name_u], [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] [name_u]Grey[/name_u] and …
I agree with your choice of [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and would pair it with [name_u]Jade[/name_u] so [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_u]Jade[/name_u]. I do not believe that [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] sound to much alike they go really well together as siblings
[name_f]My[/name_f] first thought was [name_u]Indie[/name_u]! [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] and [name_u]Indie[/name_u] look and sound great together!
I like the suggestion of [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] too! [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] and [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] all share an ‘l’ in the middle and fit stylistically really well.

[name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] and [name_u]Haven[/name_u]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] and [name_f]Sienna[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] and [name_u]Skylar[/name_u]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] and [name_u]Waverly[/name_u] (I know its more than 2 syllables, but it reminded me of [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and works great with your other children!)
