Baby sister name for siblings Tristan Clay & Maddison Marie

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] all! This is my first post here  I love this website and am hoping to get some feedback/suggestions for names. Hubby and I are due with our 3rd child this [name_u]December[/name_u], a girl! We have a 7yr old son, [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] [name_m]Clay[/name_m], and a 4yr old daughter, Maddision [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. Hubby and I have been talking names for a while now, and just haven’t had any luck finding the one that makes us go “that’s it!”.

Here are our thoughts on finding a name - we want something somewhat not-so-common, but also not so “out there” NO ONE has ever heard of it, or knows how to spell it. Bonus points if the name ends with “n” like our first 2 kiddos - my OCD side is hoping for that, but we haven’t found the right name. I should also note, our last name starts with an A, and ends with a strong E sound, so in general names that start with A are out, or names that end with an E sound - like [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] - would probably make the name rhyme a little too much.

Here are some of Hubby’s favorite names:
Eowin (pronounced A-oh-win) - I think it’s pretty, but a little too unique, and is setting her up for some struggles when people try to pronounce her name when reading it off a class roster, and vice versa trying to spell it after hearing it.
[name_f]Cassia[/name_f] - I’m not quite sure about this one. Almost seems too simple…
[name_f]Tamsyn[/name_f] - Sounds like a boy name to me! He got it from a TV show he watches.

Here are some of my favorite names:
Emberleigh - I love it! It doesn’t end in N, but it’s still my top pick. It would kind of rhyme with our last name, but because of the other syllables, it draws emphasis to the first name, and doesn’t sound too sing-song. Also suggested using “[name_u]Ember[/name_u]” as her first name, and “[name_u]Leigh[/name_u]” as her middle name (2 birds with 1 stone!), and [name_u]Ember[/name_u] with our last name sounds great! But Hubby says “sounds too much like [name_f]Amber[/name_f]”.
[name_u]Haven[/name_u] - Hubby says it’s too close to “heaven” (we’re not real religious)
[name_f]Savannah[/name_f] - Hubby is not a fan.

Some other names we’ve tossed around that we both kind of like, are [name_f]Gemma[/name_f]/[name_f]Jemma[/name_f] (I like “G”, he likes “J”), [name_f]Natalie[/name_f], and [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] - however NO ONE we have asked about name opinions has liked [name_f]Octavia[/name_f].

As far as middle names, we’re leaning towards using [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] (both our mom’s middle names are [name_u]Lynn[/name_u]), or [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] (my dad’s middle name is [name_u]Lee[/name_u]) - depending on the first name.

Any suggestions?

[name_u]Tristan[/name_u] and [name_f]Maddison[/name_f] are a bit trendy for some of your names. Eowin does not go at all with the sibling names. [name_f]Cassia[/name_f] goes great with [name_u]Tristan[/name_u], and ok with [name_f]Maddison[/name_f]. [name_f]Cassia[/name_f] is my favorite name on its own. I’m not a fan of Emberleigh, it is far too trendy sounding, although it is similar to [name_f]Maddison[/name_f]. [name_f]Tamsyn[/name_f] is ok, and [name_f]Tammy[/name_f] is cute, but it doesn’t match [name_f]Maddison[/name_f]. [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] goes the best with the siblings imo, and is pretty, although [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] would be even better. Good luck!

I like [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] and [name_f]Natalie[/name_f].

Wow, you’ve got a range of styles! That’s a good thing, I think, because your options are so much more than when you’re confined to a certain sound or feel. I think [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] goes best with [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] and [name_f]Maddison[/name_f]; Emberleigh would be second in what I feel goes best with your other children’s names: it’s modern sounding, like [name_u]Tristan[/name_u], and soft and feminine like [name_f]Maddison[/name_f]. Third, I think [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] works nicely with [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] and [name_f]Maddison[/name_f]. Not a huge fan of your other options.

Forgive me if I repeat some that are in the other posts, it is super late and I’m trying to squeeze in this post lol.

I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO EXCITED TO REPLY TO A POST!

I am going to be super biased here - fair warning.

My FN MN is [name_f]Cassia[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u]. (!!!)

So obviously I love my name. [name_u]Lee[/name_u] is a family name for me as well. As for [name_f]Cassia[/name_f] - my parents picked it out of thin air 21 year ago and i have met only a handful (3?) other Cassias in my life time. I pronounce it [name_u]Cass[/name_u]-e-a, which is almost always people’s go to - except when they have an eastern Euro heritage, in which case it’s sometimes [name_m]Cash[/name_m]-a. It’s always easily spelt, perhaps this is likely to increase if [name_m]Cassian[/name_m] and [name_m]Cassius[/name_m] raise in popularity for boys [name_m]IRL[/name_m] like they are on NameBerry. Personally I would like to see this happen so [name_f]Cassia[/name_f] is a bit more familiar to people.

[name_u]Cass[/name_u] and [name_f]Cassie[/name_f] are great nickname options that have served me well through the years - although I mostly go by my full name. I love that these common nicknames add some familiarity to an otherwise rare name - it’s a good balance.

I would say that maybe every 5th time I introduce myself I get the response “That’s a beautiful name”, so maybe it’s not as plain as you think!

Clearly I think you should name your daughter [name_f]Cassia[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u].

I love [name_f]Savannah[/name_f]. I am like head over heels with this name and it fits great with [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] and [name_f]Maddison[/name_f]. Tasmyn is nice but it doesn’t really fit with [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] ad [name_f]Maddison[/name_f] in my opinion. I also love [name_u]Haven[/name_u] but unfortunately your husband doesn’t.
I think that your daughter’s name should end in a n sound.

[name_f]Savannah[/name_f] has been my favorite since before I had kids, but Hubby seems pretty stead-fast on saying no to that one. But - your suggestion of [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] led me on a series of clicking on other names I liked (but knew Hubby would never go for), and I ended up at [name_f]Kiana[/name_f] - which I really like and hadn’t considered before. I would probably spell it [name_f]Kianna[/name_f]… and I’m not sure [name_u]Lee[/name_u], [name_u]Leigh[/name_u], or [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] go fantastic with it… maybe [name_f]Kianna[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]?

[name_f]Gemma[/name_f] and [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] we both liked… but we didn’t get that overwhelming sense of “that’s the one!” with either :-/ I think [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] would be super cute though, especially because there is a chance this baby will be born on [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] (or at least really close to it), so having a name that means just that would be fitting to say the least

Emberleigh and [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] are my top favorites, but Hubby has flat out refused [name_f]Savannah[/name_f], and just laughs every time I put it down on paper as “an option”. :-p He likes Emberleigh, but is not too thrilled that it could be confused for [name_u]Kimberly[/name_u], or [name_f]Amber[/name_f], both names he is not real fond of.

[name_u]Leighton[/name_u] was actually a name on his list - I nixed it because I thought it was a bit too masculine. I like [name_f]Autumn[/name_f], but with our last name starting with an A, it makes A names hard for me to say yes to. [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] had been suggested to us by a couple different people, at first I thought it sounded too boy-ish, but it’s kind of growing on my (Hubby still says it’s too boy-ish). [name_f]Brooklynn[/name_f] is pretty, and goes well with our other 2 kids names, but there are SO MANY [name_f]Brooklynn[/name_f]'s in our area, I want her name to stand out a little more.

[name_f]Mollie[/name_f] sounds amazing with [name_f]Maddison[/name_f] and [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] and the spelling gives it a unique twist!
Out of your names, I think [name_f]Cassia[/name_f] works best
