Baby Sister Name Help

We are expecting a little girl in 2 months. We have three boys already: (twins) [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] & [name_u]Finn[/name_u], and then [name_m]Graham[/name_m]. I still love their names completely and want to love their baby sister’s name just as much, but we cannot come up with anything we feel super good about.

I love having [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or some variation of it for a middle name, but other suggestions are welcome. We don’t like names that are super popular (top 100 has never been a consideration), but we also don’t want something that is so unusual (like my name) that she will spend her whole life spelling it, saying it again and again, etc.

Names we liked with our other pregnancies but that don’t feel right this time: [name_f]Celia[/name_f], [name_f]Liesl[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]

Our boys love the name [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] & have wanted a “baby sister [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]” since before I was pregnant, so that’s sort of a contender, but it’s far more traditional than we would typically choose.

What would you name a baby sister for our three boys?

I think [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is a great choice!

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]
[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]

[name_f]Roslyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Corrine[/name_f]
[name_f]Calla[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Celia[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] as first names too. [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is one of my favorites. Simply [name_f]Rose[/name_f] would be wonderful as a first name.

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is in the top 100, but it still feels quite fresh. I’ve never met a baby [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] despite it being in the top 100.

You could consider [name_f]Carolina[/name_f]? That’s just inside the top 500, so probably the sweet spot for ‘well known enough to be spelled correctly, unknown enough to be unusual’. Up to you if it’s [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]-ah or [name_u]Caro[/name_u]-leen-ah.
[name_f]Carolina[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f]
[name_f]Carolina[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Carolina[/name_f] Rosebud
[name_f]Carolina[/name_f] Everose

[name_f]Rosaline[/name_f]? Has shades of both [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f].

Did you name your boys E, F, & G on purpose? If so, are you wanting to continue the pattern?

[name_u]True[/name_u]. I don’t know any [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]'s that are little people, either.

Nope, it’s just the way it worked out with the names we love! And in fact, we would prefer to avoid H names just for that reason.

Working a bit with [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] could help you get to a few other names: [name_f]Carolina[/name_f], [name_u]Caro[/name_u], [name_f]Cara[/name_f], [name_f]Carina[/name_f], [name_f]Cora[/name_f], [name_f]Coral[/name_f] and one of my favorites, [name_f]Coraline[/name_f]. [name_f]Coraline[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] would be beautiful!

First of all, I think all of your choices ([name_f]Caroline[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], [name_f]Liesel[/name_f], and [name_f]Celia[/name_f]) are wonderful!

I know you mentioned that you are trying to avoid “H” names, but I would definitely embrace the E, F, G, H theme! I like the idea of “[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]” for you because it has a similar “L” sound to your favorites, especially “[name_f]Liesel[/name_f]”. “[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]” does rank in the top 100 at #52 currently, but it fits well with your boys: [name_u]Elliot[/name_u], [name_u]Finn[/name_u], [name_m]Graham[/name_m], and [name_f]Hazel[/name_f].

[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]

I think [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] fits well with the others. I also like the suggestions of [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] and [name_f]Cora[/name_f].

[name_f]Annabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Annelise[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Camille[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f]
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
[name_f]Isla[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliana[/name_f]
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]
[name_u]Rory[/name_u]
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]

Our daughter is [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], so I love that suggestion by a previous poster!

I actually think [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is beautiful, too, and would work well with your boys. [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Ada[/name_f], [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], and [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] also sound nice with your boys and are “normal” without being too overused or common!

I like [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is great!

Other girls’ names similar to your boys’:

[name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]/ [name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]

[name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]/[name_f]Natalia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is undoubtedly lovely, and would be darling paired with any number of “[name_f]Rose[/name_f]” names, from [name_f]Rose[/name_f] to [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] to [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] to [name_f]Rosanne[/name_f]. However, I would embrace the “[name_f]Rose[/name_f]” idea in the first name. In particular, I quite like [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]. Whether you pronounce that with a soft or hard S it is beautiful, and the nickname [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]/Rozie comes naturally from it depending on how you say it. [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] is classic and recognizable, but far from popular.

I think [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] sounds really cute  nn could be [name_f]Immy[/name_f]/Idgie. Spunky and sweet

[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Lila[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]

[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_f]Alina[/name_f]
[name_f]Elena[/name_f]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
[name_u]Zola[/name_u]

[name_f]Clara[/name_f] is another option similar to [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]

I’m not sure if you do nicknames, but I love [name_f]Callie[/name_f] as a nickname for [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]!

[name_u]Elliot[/name_u], [name_u]Finn[/name_u], [name_m]Graham[/name_m], & [name_f]Callie[/name_f] ([name_f]Caroline[/name_f]) are great together!

Edited to add: I don’t think you could go wrong with a [name_f]Rose[/name_f] name either.
