I prefer [name]Eliza[/name] to [name]Eva[/name]. I prefer the underrated, soft-and-sweet, striking [name]Eve[/name] to the spunky, up-and-coming [name]Eliza[/name] (although both are utterly perfect), but I like [name]Eliza[/name] better than [name]Eva[/name]. [name]Eva[/name]'s always seemed a bit unbalanced to me, and the EE-vah sound has never really sounded that pleasant to me. I much prefer just EEV or the Spanish pronunciation, AY-vah.

Good luck!

I like both, but I’d pick [name]Eva[/name], mostly because of personal associations I have with those names (which probably isn’t the most helpful answer!)

I think [name]Eva[/name] is classic, feminine, and lovely, and will suit her at any age.

My brother in law has a daughter named [name]Elizabeth[/name], and I wonder if [name]Eliza[/name] is too similar.

I am also a bit torn between [name]Eve[/name] and [name]Eva[/name]!

I like [name]Elizabeth[/name] nn [name]Eliza[/name]. To me, [name]Eliza[/name] just sounds like a nickname (probably because it is usually a nickname). If you’re really set on [name]Eliza[/name] or [name]Eva[/name], I would say [name]Eva[/name].

[name]Eva[/name] makes me think of [name]Wall[/name]-e, and his pronunciation of [name]Eve[/name]. Not a bad association, bu it puts me off of it a bit. [name]Eliza[/name] is sweet, and I like it more in general.

I like them both and I think either would make a fine choice! I voted for [name]Eva[/name] because it seems a little more rare to me even though it is ranked higher on the SSA list. I also think [name]Eliza[/name] has a quirky and slightly nerdy vibe that [name]Eva[/name] does not have, so that is why I went with [name]Eva[/name], but [name]Eliza[/name] would still be a very nice choice.

I like [name]Eva[/name] a little better although neither is quite my style. [name]Eliza[/name] just brings to mind [name]Eliza[/name] Doolittle from My Fair Lady (although I know she classes up by the end.) [name]Eliza[/name] also makes me think of the (probably slightly less well known) [name]Wild[/name] Thornberrys show that ran on Nickelodeon years ago. [name]Don[/name]'t get me wrong, I loved that show. Despite these great characters, the name just sounds so harsh to me. [name]Eva[/name] has a bit of a softer more soothing feel to me.

I think both names are lovely, I prefer [name]Eliza[/name] however. I think it has more substance to it, and also seems a little more classic.

I am not sure why I like [name]Eliza[/name] better than [name]Eva[/name]. I think I like [name]Eliza[/name] better than [name]Eva[/name] because [name]Eva[/name] is too short and reminds me of the robot in [name]Wall[/name]-E. [name]Wall[/name]-E is a Disney movie.
